| Lovegrove is starting preseason as a 2nd rower / centre, if Sandy works on his defence i can see him excelling playing there.
I really hope Watts goes to 13 and i think he could be world class at 13; had a good game for the knights this weekend and it took 4 players to take him down in nearly every tackle (he started on the bench and came on front row)
Welham looked dangerous with ball in hand but didnt seem interested at all - not sure if hes just down about not been called up or just needs a decent rest.
Charnley learned alot from his days here and had a cracking game. Westwood stood head and shoulders above everyone mind.

| Cant pick a team. New coach means everyone on trial. Only ones for me nailed on are
Welham, Webster, Green, Dobson and Galea.

Crikey. He'll have what another ginger, Chris Evans, used to call a "full fatman foldover" on his shorts waistband if he's shopping in Morrisons on his way to doing his shopping at Morrisons.

Less of it. He's a proper drummer and everything. Shirt off in week 2. Is that a record?

Green.
14 of the above were born/brought up in Hull.
I think if the RFL made the Magic Weekend an all British affair (HYPOTHETICLLY SPEAKING as this would never happen) I wonder which team would come out on top, I have no doubt we would beat Hull FC as thier conveyor belt has dried up in the last few years. I reckon Wigan, Saints and Leeds would lead the way, but even Wire, Bradford Salford etc would struggle.

FC's all British 17 could be:
Briscoe(J)
Lyne
Turner
Yeaman
Briscoe (T)
Horne
Ellis
Lynch
Houghton
O'Carroll
Tickle
Westerman
Whiting
Subs
Bowden
Kent
Green
Crooks
You're saying there's "no doubt" your team would beat this all British FC side? Ok then. Bit cocky, though.

Not a bad side that, bench looks a bit weak mind. These 2 sides should be made to contest the friendly in January.

Bench is weak but Crooks is highly rate by all accounts and the others would have had some gametime last season if we'd had anything resembling a decent coach. Think it also shows that FC have invested some serious cash in British players, even if this is at the expense of bringing through homegrown talent.
I think we have decent balance in our squad in terms of quality senior British players and reasonable overseas ones (although as stated before would be happy to go with 5, ie Manu, O'Meley, Heremaia, Seymour and Moa). Would like to swap a couple of overseas players for academy prospects, then we've got it about right IMO.
