| I've just seen that Chris Riley has gone on loan to Quinns for a month; how about him for next season?

Has he? Good player, Riley, would be a step up from Colbon IMO.

Take him in a heartbeat. Intuition to finish like that can't be taught.

Just can't help yourself. But very funny, no idea why you persist on here when you're so undervalued.

Edit-wrong thread-RW
Riley is a good target. A dazzling combo with Welham, quite literally, if the sun's at the wrong angle.

Indeed, but you're off topic.
Lee and Riley, both good. O'Meley - hands off, please.

Riley's an excellent player from what I've seen, would definitely bring him here. Who's Lee? O'Meley? Wouldn't want him cheers.

Did we have any major problems scoring points with Green and Murrell as our halfbacks?

Firstly would you care to post a link of Rovers reported interest in signing Tommy Lee other then fans second guessing potential signings.
And secondly as i recall when that list came out he shouldnt have been on it in my opinion as he hadnt developed as well as his talent had suggested he would when in the Hull Juniors and he was being over hyped by Hull fans.
His time at Hull didnt see him performing as well as others on that list and some who were not even on it.
It seems based on his performances this season he has matured on and off the field and getting plenty of game time under a coach who allows his players to play their natural game is suiting him.
I stand by what i said at the time and im glad that he is now showing he can play at a good level as too many young kids disapear from the game or end up at a lower level or playing amatuer after being built up as the next big thing.
Its not exclusive to your lot however, Jamie Bovill and James Garmston were bigged up, with comments around building a team around Garmston never coming to fruition.

A reasonable analysis but Wakefield aren't exactly setting super league on fire. Granted he didn't get the game time at Hull (which doesn't take his ability away), we just had better players in that position. Put a decent player in a team of medicore ones and he will stand out but how would he go playing for the likes of Wire, Wigan, Leeds etc., don't think his natural game would suit them, think he has found his level in my opinion.

| Not doubting Tommy Lees ability, or his versatility, but would there be any point having him and Scott Murrell covering the same positions in effect?

For me Murrell isn't cover, he's our 13.
If Fisher were not given a new contract (and tbh, even with Mason gone, it may be politic to 'buy British') and we don't replace him with a high quality and expensive hooker...
6 Green, 7 Dobson, 9 Hodgson, 13 Murrell, '14' Lee, would be okay, with the option of a third prop at LF, depending on circumstances.

Murrell is not a half back anymore and his spell at hooker last season was not that successful
