Visually it's brilliant and they got the casting bang on IMO. The problem with all fantasy is that the dialogue can be a bit stilted and pompous/silly. Because it doesn't have the depth of the book, the characters come across as a bit 2d - though as the plot develops and you find out more, it should get better. Also, if you haven't read the book I can imagine it being a bit hard to follow, possibly.

Mine's probably a bow line, mainly because it's about the most complicated one I can do. Not very good at knots me. No I'm not.

Well, this information keeps a check on my expectation levels for the application I submitted at 11.30pm last night. I expect I will end up going to London for 3 days to watch 2 games of Women's hockey or the odd game of Handball (I don't even know the rules!).

I've more chance of tickets for something good in 2016 I reckon (cheaper to get there probably).
