Given that I have just posted information that is common knowledge it shouldn't be a hard decision.

So come on, which part of that post was wrong?
We did make a profit as did Leeds and I believe Bradford only lost about £18k according to the official accounts released by the clubs, mind you official accounts don't mean much in East Hull as long as Hudge says everything is rosey losing almost £1m in 2 years will be ok.

| Quote: General Zod. "To cut a long story short there's not a cat in hells chance of the FC board achieving what Rovers have in Neil Hudgell's reign as Rovers chairman. The Hetherington's have been involved in 2 bankrupt clubs before and only a £1M RFL hand-out and the fortune of playing at the KC enabled an easy ride with Hull SL Ltd.
And as for you stating there is "no commercial business case for a 14,000 capacity stadium", that is complete dross. New stadiums / stands / facilities have accounted for a 40% increase in gates across all sport attendances.
To add to that, 100% of covered terracing sold out 100% of the time of the SL season which confirms demand out stripping supply hence the urgent need for an increase in that specific catagory of terracing.
As Neil Hudgell said, Rovers' losses this season have to be viewed in the context of paying the full salary cap - something which if FC had have done, then they wouldn't have made a profit.
If both sets of boards had similar resources/facilities, then there's no doubt to me would would do better.'"
So rovers are better supported than Hull, but the fans who don't go are concerned in case it rains or they get sunburn? Is that what you mean?

| It must be a factor judging by the way your fans 'returned' when you moved into the more sheltered stadium.

The last filed accounts for Hull were 2008 when we spent to the full cap. HTH

Perhaps Mrs B could enlighten us why AFAIK Hull are the only club to include the transfer prices of their players in the balance sheet. ?

There is not one shred of evidence that Rovers would sell out a 14,000 stadium on a regular basis. If anything the fact you are unable to sell out what you have now is a solid reason for commercial investors not to put any money in. It's silly to predict the elasticity of demand in such aggressive terms when your average gate has gone down this year despite a regular season 4th place. In the current environment it's hardly an attractive investment.
'"
It is about adding quality as well as capacity. However, it is a big issue and not just or even primarily for Rovers.
Do you think that Wakefield's and Salford's attempts to get new stadiums built, and the franchise system pressuring them to do so are commercially unwise? Genuine question. Saints don't often sell out Knowsley Road but they are planning a replacement with a slightly bigger capacity.

For starters Leeds made a profit after tax in 2008 of £760,610. Read their accounts - they make every other club look like extremely poor relations. That said, FC are a strong second financially. These are facts, and the Hetheringtons are the common denominator. I know you don't like it, but that's just the way it is I'm afraid.
Quote: General Zod. ""Hull SL Ltd." (previously "Gateshead SL Ltd." after it's inception as "Made Later Ltd."icon_wink.gif was created in 1998 and has had Sky money for every year since, with the fortune of the KC Stadium generating an increased fan-base which also removed the need to invest in "game-day facilities", specifically.
"Hull Kingston Rovers FC Ltd" has been trading since 1905 and is therefore still subject to the substantial knock-on effects (such as having to invest in "game-day facilities"icon_wink.gif of the ground switch in the early '90s under the Chairmanship of Colin Hutton[/i]'"
SL cash, but SL outgoings like a £1.6m salary cap vs a £0.4m one you mean. Funny how a few years ago you were crowing over us getting stiffed by the SMC, now you've done a 180. . Make your minds up.
You may be right. But neither team even got to a semi final last year, we're both on zero points, our debt is half of yours and our fantastic merchandise operation is servicing Christmas demand with great new ranges and cash in the tills like a well-run retail operation should be over this key trading period. Cheer up. Your 2 new internationals will be here shortly

It's not fair only giving him Hudgell as a choice.

Your numbers are wrong, as usual. But let's adjust for the valuation and then compare:
FC's net liabilities 2008 : -£184,000
KR's net liabilities 2007 : -£1,098,000 (before the last 2 years losses).
Of course you know that the valuation has no impact on the financial profit, don't you?

Leeds would have made a profit were it not for the cost of the remedial work to the foundations of the southstand,
And this was in a year when they won the league, the GF and even afforded to go on an expensive pre-season trip
Mr Hetherington has also put us in a position where we can use money we have to improve the stadium and dont need to go the council with a begging bowl
we also have about £10million in the bank which will be used to rebuild the southstand,
