No seriously...he is!: |

| Yeah, forget about previous results between the two sides. On derby day you throw the form book out of the window, its simply too close to call.
I would never predict a Saints Vs Wigan fixture for the same reasons. Perhaps Leeds and Bradford in the past, but we all know thats only an airport derby!

Either way I would say both teams are playing well within certain aspects of their game and I reckon it will be a close nervy affair.'"
Nothing whatsover to do with that at all, I still felt the hurt when we got beat in the friendlies at the KC, when I KNEW we were going to cop a beating. Most of us who can go back a few years new how important a derby win was for both side to the point where we would fill Boulevard and Craven Park on Christmas day to watch the games.
I think the fans of either side who are ambivalent towards derbies are probably the ones who are recent fans who only knew the two clubs in different divisions and have had no personal history of meaningful meetings between us.

| Can't see beyond a Rovers win at the moment
But as has been said, it's a derby and anything could happen. I mean, even Crocker could turn up

I have been an FC fan since 79 and whilst I agree that the Derbies used to be the be all and end all, that was mainly because we were two of the best sides around.
That has changed now since SL came in and whilst it's nice to beat your neighbours it is not as important as it used to be.

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?: |
|
| I've followed Rovers since 1977 and still find the derbies special must win games and i dont believe any one who says they aren't that bothered about them

What makes me laugh is that in 2007 they were all looking forward to the derby games and having an easy 8 points from us, now its 'we are not bothered' or 'its just another game'. Is this because they actually think they are likely to get beat these days.

Not likely, but it's a definite possible. Rovers are now way better than the team we (me included) thought we'd get 8 points off. I now approach every derby with trepidation!

I still look forward to the Derby games and still want to win them, I just don't see the major importance that some fans put on them. Some of the Rovers/Hull fans are obsessed with what the other team are doing and that winning a derby is akin to winning a cup final.

Which, of course, is nonsense. Winning a derby is much more important

| I think Rovers win, way too good for us. They are the bestest team in Hull by miles.
