You mean if he doesn't think everything in red and white is Super Duper and the best in the world then you dont rate his opinion. Its says alot about your opinions of peoples opinions dont you think?

| Quote: Hazzer "I dont go watch Rovers play for obvious reasons (being a Hull fan) but I really don't see what the fuss is about with him. I don't want to get into Calderwood V Fox argument etc etc but what is it that he does thats so great? Everytime I see him play he does one good thing and one bad thing.'"
Something that a lot of people overlook with Foxy is the amount of work he does in our own half. His kick returns and scoots from acting half are excellent and with Liam Colbon on the other wing, our 2 wingers are setting a good platform for our forwards to work on. He also knows his way to the line.
And Calderwood? Well, he's a better Ghandi lookalike than he is Rubgy League player.

I dont believe I knocked Fox.
He is a very good player but would he improve HUll FC if we replaced Calderwood with him ? I very much doubt it !

I know you didn't, that's why I quoted Hazzer. I personally think Fox will score more tries than Calderwood this year like he did last year, take from that what you will.

I think its fairer to say that defensively Calderwood is better then Fox at this moment in time.It does appear though that Fox is more enthusiastic going forward and scooting from dummy half. I think both have a lot of work todo to be up with the best in the world. If it came to a choice on which I had in the FC squad I would choose the player on the least wages.I would guess that they would be fairly even on that score but when its time for fox to renew I would think he will be looking for a hefty payrise.
Not sure who your danger man is though. The player I would prefer to be missing from the rovers team sheet though is Galea

| Calderwood can hardly ever be associated with anything even like a half decent defence. Average at best.
Don't get me wrong, Fox can improve in this area too, particularly under the bomb but as he has time on his side I know who I would prefer in my team.

| Maybe, maybe not but it might give Liam Welham the opportunity to press for a place in the first team.

| Fear is a bit of a strong word. Tbh, there are only 3 players I 'fear' in SL: Long, Sinfield and Richards.

| Plenty of bombs to either wing will cause havoc, well even bombs straight down the middle will. If we are struggling to break them down in general play, then bombs going up on the 4th tackle will do me. The key is applying quality pressure to whoever is taking the high kick, which we generally do.
I wouldnt say any of FC's back 3 are good positionally and I certainly wouldnt say any of them are particularly good under a high ball. For me this is the key area for our team to get at!

| Quote: Big Spender "With the derby appearing on the horizon the banter (and abuse from some) will increase but a question for all you Rovers fans out there.
Who do you think our bitter neighbours will fear the most in the Rovers team ?
What tactics do you think they fear the most ?
IMO : I reckon Dobson in current form will be their major worry and Cooke always performs well against them....hopefully our forwards will give us the foundation to allow this pair to dictate.
Reckon the high ball to the their fall back or either of the wingers could prove very beneficial. And their players constant watch to avoid a Makka or Murell big hit.
I doubt if any Hull fans will fear any of our team, they may rate them, but not fear them. Likewise our fans over their team.
I think both teams are fairly evenly matched on the basis of the start to the season. Before the season started I thought both derby's would be fairly easy but Thorman and the return of Richard Horne seems to have transformed them and Richard Agar has got them into a hard-working unit. Like us they have no real stars but many good solid individuals and a good pack, with more possibly to come.
I think seeing Briscoe in a red and white shirt still upsets many Hull fans so that will be a downer for many but on the whole I see a tight game with plenty of passion and hard hits.....should be good but I never enjoy derby games, for the fear of losing of course, but quietly looking forward to it and the occasion! Just hope Vella is back and fit as I know a lot of Hull fans rate him, with good reason! I think their main weakness is full-back (hence the Briscoe thing) as I personally don't rate Hall, but he is their one and only weakness at the mo IMO, plus possibly Calderwood. Plenty of high balls please Messrs Cooke, Murrell & Dobson.
