| Mark Calderwood or Liam Colbon, I don't think you'll find many neutrals saying Hull have got the worst of the two there. Time will tell, I'm confident about our current international winger though for next season.
Oh, and

3. Leeds Rhinos

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| Quote: Rupert Pupkin "Fielden did look a little better last season than in previous ones but still not up there with the likes of Vella.
Dont think many people actually rate Coley, was in great form about 3/4 tears ago but failes miserably to live up to expectations.
Feka, obviously one of the best impact frowards in the league but I do like the look of O'Carroll.
Now that line up leaves you short up front without any more signings.
Carmont has been a very good signing and did alot more than I expected him to do and Richards did a good job once again. I still dont think we saw the best of Barrett in SL but he still carried the team at times, dont think he has been replaced.
Richards, must be one of the most valuable players in the league in terms of all points scored but I wouldn't say he was the best winger.
Carmont, did a very good job last season.
Pryce, coming back from a long term injury and was never a complete player, always seemed to be something missing.
Phelps, probably no better than some of the up and coming lads in your academy, waste of a quota space.
Not been overly impressed with Goulding and it sounds like Ainscough has plenty of potential.
Roberts has yet to sign, so I'm not making any comments.
When I mentioned outside backs, I include full back amongst them. Now Mathers certainly isn't up there with the best full backs in the league and can be a real liability at times.
It does look like Tomkins has the ability to go onto better things in the game.
No doubt you guys will make the play-offs but there are so many teams this coming season with relatively strong squads all battling it out for a top 6 finish.'"
If Fielden returns to somewhere neer his old from like he did against Leeds this season, he is miles better than Vella.
I dont rate Coley either but watching him every week he is a very hard working player and good to have in the pack.
Feka has lost weight so will be even better this season as he will stay on longer.
Who is better on the wing than Richards in super league, Donald is the only one who comes close, but Donald cant Kick and is not as good in the air as Richards, and is also not as versitile, Richards is also a decent leader.
Pryce will suprise alot of people, he will be a quality player, just look at him, he is built for it, with a good centre he will not be stopped on the wing.
Phelps is a good utility player, I would rather play some youngsters, but we have him and he does the job, him and Smith will have to show how good they are this season, they came half way through last season, we surley have not seen the best of either of them.
Goulding, is slowly moving towards super league standard, he is a very quick creative player, he will make it.
Ainscough will be a star.
Roberts has signed but has not been anounced, great signing, but dont see the need for him and Phelps, just Roberts would be good and use Goulding and Ainscough as Squad players, Phelps will probably get in before these two which isnt right.
Mathers, improved towards the end of the year and he will get his chance this year, but if he doesnt perform Richards will play there and he is as good as anyone at Full-back, he is better in the air than anyone in the league.
Tomkins will also be a great player.
Yes there are teams with good squads but, we have more strength in deapth than any team outside the top 2. And one of the top 4 starting 13's.
For people on here to say Hull KR will finish above Wigan is just silly, I like the optimism, but its just not going to happen. There are only about 3-4 Hull KR players that could get in the Wigan team.

Always get a bite in the right plaice.
Never complain about another guests attitude at a mutual friends BBQ the day after the event and then be told by that host that its your own attitude that stinks.
Be man enough to complain on the day !!!!: |
|
| Reckon Rovers will improve on last seasons seventh position and confident they will do so if they reach a higher level of consistency. Its no good beating the top teams and then failing to put lower sides to the sword.

I dont think many have said that Wigan will finish lower in the league than Rovers.
Plus I would have 2 out of 3 of our side backs over yours, 1. Briscoe, 2. Fox, 5. Richards.

'If', now thats the big question, has not been in the same league as Vella in the last 2 seasons.
Who will he suprise? He should be a world beater the size of him but he isn't.

So he had one good game. Jeez your easily pleased.
And no he isnt
I dont rate Coley either but watching him every week he is a very hard working player and good to have in the pack.
Feka has lost weight so will be even better this season as he will stay on longer.
He needs to, your pack gets bullied without him.
Who is better on the wing than Richards in super league, Donald is the only one who comes close, but Donald cant Kick and is not as good in the air as Richards, and is also not as versitile, Richards is also a decent leader.
Take away his goal kicking and id say Raynor, Fox and Gardner as an out and out wingman are just as good in their own way.
Pryce will suprise alot of people, he will be a quality player, just look at him, he is built for it, with a good centre he will not be stopped on the wing.
Dont expect big things from a player injured and returning from Union.
Chev Walker struggled and he was a GB international.
Phelps is a good utility player, I would rather play some youngsters, but we have him and he does the job, him and Smith will have to show how good they are this season, they came half way through last season, we surley have not seen the best of either of them.
Big test for them then early season.
Goulding, is slowly moving towards super league standard, he is a very quick creative player, he will make it.
Gibson at Leeds is better
Ainscough will be a star.
Lets hope he isnt the Tommy Lee of Wigan after such a statement
Roberts has signed but has not been anounced, great signing, but dont see the need for him and Phelps, just Roberts would be good and use Goulding and Ainscough as Squad players, Phelps will probably get in before these two which isnt right.

Mathers had one good season at Leeds and has been awful since.
Tomkins will also be a great player.
Has the build and pace, needs to progress now at his age
Yes there are teams with good squads but, we have more strength in deapth than any team outside the top 2. And one of the top 4 starting 13's.
For people on here to say Hull KR will finish above Wigan is just silly, I like the optimism, but its just not going to happen. There are only about 3-4 Hull KR players that could get in the Wigan team.
But yet they lost narrowly at the JJB last season before handing you your s at Craven Park.

Not sure but think he may mean Sam Tompkins, who is a half back, and not Joel as Sam is expected to go on to great things

| It is fairly predictable that first and second place will be battled out between Leeds and St Helens.
It is also fairly nailed on that the bottom two spots will be a scrap between Salford and Celtic. This is not a slight on these two clubs but given they have a 3 year safety net both teams have plenty of time to develop their squads to improve over the next two years.
All other placings are up for grabs. There is not that much between the majority of these clubs so I'm expecting the chase for the play-offs to go pretty much down to the last week of the regular season which should make for a good spectacle.

Face facts, Calderwood is well past his best and Noble can see this, hence why he got rid!'"
Blinkered. Calderwood has many good years ahead of him, don't let his balding head fool you. He will play alot better for FC where his ability will be put to good use.
Also on the fact th Brian Noble doesn't rate him, why didn't he name him in the GB sides of the past when he was SL top try scorer 2 years running.
