BB - I've just read something that says 'the Father puts weight on if it's a girl', I've put weight on. This might be because we're having a girl or because for the last 2 weeks I've been having tea before leaving for work and then having McDonalds at midnight (because it's free).

Have you done ring test...woman lays on her back you put a ring (usually a wedding ring, if you are not married a shower ring may do ) on a piece of cotton,hold the ring above the womans tummy if the ring goes in circle it is a boy if ring goes side to side it is a girl, I may have that the wrong way around, my youngest is 16 so it was a long time ago I forget.
Also they say if the woman is carrying all front it is a girl, if behind (eg big bum & hips ) it is a boy..I cannot vouch for this either as I resembled a bus front & back with all 3..went from 9.7 stone to 12.7 every time..

I was told (4 years ago) if the heart beat ryhtmn sounds more "train" like it's a girl and "horse galloping" like if it's a boy.

This was from the mid-wife at Jubilee Birth Centre. I never picked up either when I listened. It's not relevant but my daughter's now four and doesn't like trains or horses.
