30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| Quote: Mild Rover "I'm not a huge fan of using SL as a development tool to 'give the kids a run', and realise that the average fan's patience is probably less than they might state, with all the revenue implications that brings. And it always struck me that, despite what Smokey told us, if we did what Cas do we'd not end up like Leeds, but like Cas. But if you're trying to cut costs, your options are limited and your sights have to be lowered, so here we are.
But given this strategy and accepting CS should be judged purely on results, after 14 rounds of SL how many wins should we have, as a bare minimum? Whether he's got enough to have secured a new deal, even I'd prefer to wait and I've got one or two major reservations. However, he's got enough runs on the board that sacking him at this stage would seem very harsh, IMO - unless we're getting new money and a new plan with it.'"
It's not the amount of wins it's the manner of the defeats for me, the defensive patterns just aren't consistent, how can we keep teams like Wire and Saints down to reasonable points totals and then concede thirty odd to what at the time was a rubbish and demoralised Salford?
Let's look at his signings.
Mika- a raw talent at the beggining of 2012, error prone and a penalty machine with no engine eighteen months later.
Eden- exciting running game at Huddersfield in 2012, poor defensively and let go by his coach with one the reasons rumoured to be his inabilty to call the correct defensive plays. Is that the sort of player you'd sign when your defense is notoriously disorganised?
Caro- London didn't rate him. Enough said.
Gleeson- injured before we signed him, now living under an assumed name in Buenos Aries.
Burns- signed whilst already due to miss five games, shown very little form other than for high tackles.
Let's look at his supposed development of players.
Latus- looked a dependable if limited player in 2011, completely disappeared by mid 2013.
Cox- big unit, determined style with a lot of potential in 2011, powder puff running action and unable to read an oppositions attacking play by mid 2013.
Griffin- solid.
Green- potential.
Beaumont- finally injury free.
Salter- has done well and looks an SL player, doesn't listen to Sandercock.
He's a whining get with a rubbish hair cut and the most annoying Australian accent I've ever heard. He wears Hi-Tec Silver Shadow trainers, thinks Ryvita is the hight of culinary excellence and enjoys all of The Rocks films.
Sandercock. Get stuffed, you bandy legged manky fizzogged pile of hyena's excrement.

| Funny post but I think Sandy isn't doing too bad to be fair. You have got to remember the reasons he was brought in, and im fairly happy that he is doing what the board tasked him with.
I think the defensive patterns are ok its just individuals that cause problems, I like the way we play under Sandy and think its just a weak squad more than anything to do with his defensive coaching.
Everyone wanted to see 'young british players' and now our squad has a lot of these players the performances are inconsistent, our coach is $h1t!!
No coach in the league would do better with Rovers current squad, we cut our cloth to try and keep costs down so to be battling for a playoff spot is not too bad.
If we get strong investment and the squad gets a good overhaul Id be more than happy for Sandy to stay.
All imo of course

sandy was touted as some youth development guru, but as Sandra has highlighted, none of your young players have really improved and you ship a stack of points every week. It also seems your attack has turned to cack in the last couple of months. I think sandy's lack of coaching ability is like the emperor's new clothes to some fans, much like agar's was to many Hull fans who would constantly blame anything but the coach for poor performances

| Spending close to the cap maybe so but the fact remains that the squad is weak and is probably not good value for money if you compared it with other squads.
We lost some senior players previous seasons and have recruited mainly young English inexperienced players which is what a lot of fans was calling for.
I would much rather see Sandy stay instead of some of the other names that are being branded about......Webster Steve Mac ....at least Sandercock has recent NRL experience. If we are going to replace him with someone then I think we should only do so for some one even more experienced.
If this investment comes through and we can attract a more proven coach then I would welcome that aswel. (If any are available)
As for Agar he is doing ok at Wakey imo they are playing pretty well, sometimes things just don't go your way and maybe that's what happened at F.C. but that doesn't mean hes a terrible coach. Just like I don't thin Sandy is.

Yeah, fair points - and my support is pretty equivocal. He's had a hard act to follow, not a great deal of luck with injuries and not quite the full cap to work with. Where he's not helped himself, IMOshould happen. Either way, the signals all seem to pointing towards him being let go at the moment.
