| Quote: barham red "Matty Bowen makes Dixon look like a safe pair of hands, if it was him then we're finished...
Dixon has scored 13 tries this year and won MoM 5 times and thats from someone who has missed a fair few games and been played out of position a number of other times. If we replace him he will come back to bite us playing for another team.'"
I absolutely agree, particularly with your last line of comment.
I sometimes wonder what planet some of our fans are on and what they really want for this club in the future.
It beggars belief that some fans are even contemplating some of the names mentioned as fullback in place of Dixon, who is by far one of the most exiting prospects I have seen at this club in 47 years of watching and supporting both home and away.
He may well make some mistakes but no more than most others and don't forget he is still only young and will undoubtedly get better with time, he also more than makes up for any errors with his wonderful attacking talent.
These type of players only come along once in a generation and we should be thankful we have him, keep building him up and look forward to exiting times with him wearing the red and white of Rovers, instead of moaning about a few errors he makes from time to time.

| Dixon has to start at fullback in The Derby.
Cockayne on the bench as back up hooker for Lunt. Forget his crap passing from dummy half, he will cause havoc with scoots from play the ball.
I'm not loving Larroyer and Green at the mo and one of them should be dropped along with Cox, who has one gear - reverse.

| Oh how times change.
When I started watching the game the only measure of a full back was whether he could kick goals. Now they've actually got to be able to catch the ball and be an auxiliary half back as well. Oh, and have blistering pace. Life was much simpler back in the good old days. not that we won anything then either, mind.

| As a huge supporter of Dixon and not at all a fan of Cockayne, I have to say, Cockayne had an excellent first half against Salford.
I just hope that Chester is protecting Dixon at times and putting anarm around his shoulder to build the lads confidence.
I think Cox could be a good player, but the way it's going, probably not at Rovers. He lacks the desire to make the hard yards, it's very frustrating for someone who can run the ball in so well and is actually a very technically sound defender.
After I was pulled up on here about Larroyer, (by whom, I forget, might have been one of the newish somebody "Red" posters) I've paid more attention to him and he's just not cutting it at the moment. I think Chester is playing him wrong. He's being used as almost a back up prop and that's not his game, he needs to be given the freedom to run wider lines on tackles three and four. His defensive reads and penalty count is not good.
On Friday we need a high intensity game and to take it to Hull, put them under pressure and they'll wilt, their a team of fannies, put our running game on them and we'll trounce them and the whole world will rejoice.
The filthy black and white gets, they eat rats.

Not on his performances for Wigan he's not. He's lost them more games than he's won. Maybe was a good player in the NRL but that counts for nothing now. Wigan aren't letting him go because he's a great player

True, it's because the chosen one is returning and the shirt & salary cap need to be ready to be blessed by his presence.

Forgot about him. Still doesn't take away from the fact Bowen has been very hit and miss

He seemed to struggle early on. He was abysmal when they played the Roosters down under. Since he got settled in though he's been good whenever I've watched him. I thought he was excellent against Leeds last week.

Last time i saw him play he had a stinker, think it was the saints game, coughed up the ball a couple of times and let one bounce over his shoulder for crucial tries. Certainly wouldn't want him in over an up and coming English lad.
