| Salter is a turnstile most of the time and average on attack, been like it most of the season with obviously a couple of exceptions. Would have put Charlie on the wing with Sio inside him.
Yes Dixon made some howlers at Wembley, but he was also one and just about the only one that did try and be creative in attack in a game where we mostly played one man rugby and nobody supported anybody.
I don't rate Greenwood highly either but Green is a welcome addition.
I'm looking forward to seeing Marsh. Might he be our first decent home grown halfback in years?

In my opinion Chester has made the absolute right decision by playing Dixon on Sunday.
If you have ever played yourself and had a mare of a game(count me in on that score), the last thing you then need is to be scorned by both your coach and fans alike, at such times, words of encouragement and belief in your ability from those around you can do wonders, it can be the difference between curling up and going into your shell or getting back on your horse and trying to get back on course.
Despite his errors of late, Dixon is a wonderful young talent who will most certainly be a crowd pleaser for years to come, anyone who says he should be dropped, moved on to the wing, or even in some peoples opinions got rid of all together, haven't got a clue what they are talking about in my opinion.
To use part of a quote from Dale Carnegie..... "Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence''.

Chester had already said he was going to play dixon at some stage which I agree with, but I thought charlie could have been on the bench at least,if as chester said "dixon would be given some game time"

I didnt say dixon should be dropped, but if chesters only going to give dixon some game time, who would play full back when dixon isn't on? I actually think dixon would be better on the wing and mantellato at full back,he's safe under the high ball and a strong runner given a bit of space.

If Rugby League Rocks, then Hull KR is its Soul.: |
|
| Glad Dixon is playing on Sunday. Needs game time to prove his worth and restore his fragile confidence. However, if he has another mare on Sunday like Wembley, that could be the end of his contribution in a Rovers shirt this season. No pressure there, then.
Harsh on Cockayne, however, missing selection 2 games running. I think Horne and Larroyer are paying the price for extremely underwhelming and below par performances last week.
Is Tilse definitely on his way back to Oz then? I assume that's why he's "rotated" this week.
Finally, compare Leeds Rhinos right centre, Kallum Watkins, to our right centre, Liam Salter. Divisions apart in skill and creativity. Ken Sio's tryscoring effectiveness is suffering by having Salter inside him. I know he's homegrown, but he's not good enough for SL imo. Welham, despite his shortcomings, is more creative.

It was a rumour from oz/newcastle that he was going back but gareth westmorland tweeted he had spoken to tilse and and he would be surprised if he went back as he is happy here

Well, that's just depresses me even more. He adds nothing of any value whatsoever. Marsh should play every remaining minute if this season, if Chisholm plays in front of him then we may as well give up.

What a stupid comment, Tilse is nowhere near the worst player we have signed, you either have only recently began to attend matches or don't bother watching them. Tilse is a decent prop, who with some additions in the pack for 2016 will be a vital part of the squad

It's not a stupid comment, it's his opinion. Tilse is very very average, and offers very little value for one of the quota spots. I wouldn't hesitate in letting him return to Oz if that's an option. The Raiders fans I've spoken to here weren't exactly distraught at him leaving either. Again, just my (and a lot if others') opinion, doesn't make us all stupid, we just see things differently.

It's not stupid to have an opinion but it is stupid to say he is one of the worst signings ever he's a lot better than Clinton , crossman , and numerous others I could mention

| Really glad Dixon has been shown faith by Chester, if he didn't pick him it would be extremely hard for Dixon to pick himself up. Hopefully he has a decent game and starts to build a bit of confidence.
Surprised Cockayne isn't included but not that bothered to be honest. Salter is very average but definitely a 110% player who bleeds red and white. He will be back to back up player next year behind Thornley/Minns.
Marsh should start every game at 7 till the end of the season unless we were to lose a couple on the bounce, Kelly then passes a late fitness test and takes his place..
Ha. He looked good against Widnes and like someone said he has to be selected ahead of Chisholm if that decision has to be made.
Finally Tilse is average, not terrible. People just expect overseas players to be superstars and when they're not it's disappointing. If Tilse was a homegrown player nobody would be on his back like some are. That being said I think we could get someone better in an overseas spot but that's not Tilse's fault.

Can't argue with that at all. He's still a waste of an overseas spot, and Green should have had his place at Wembley imo. Hope he proves me wrong and has a strong finish to the season.
