The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

It's good to see the young lads getting a chance at one of the hull clubs anyway.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| It's nice, but I'm still not bothered where they come from.
However, I do think that if players come through your academy then you instil a sense of belonging and camaraderie, particularly if you bring through a few at the same time.

| Not convinced the club have made the right move here.
Whilst Latus has improved into a passable 'squad filler' and Beaumont clearly has ability, I can't help feeling that given their respective ages and skill-sets, they will never really offer the club any more than they do already.
I would much rather the club had spent this money on promoting the younger James Green into the full-time squad.
He is a giant of a kid with the potential to far eclipse anything Beaumont or Latus could ever hope to achieve in Super League.

As has been pointed out on numerous threads, you cannot have 25 top end players in a squad, the cap won't allow it (as designed). Every club has to have players that will be able to fill a role as required and by that criteria you will only get the mediocre ones to fill these roles.

Which is why I'm saying spend the money on trying to develop someone with genuine potential like Green over cheap 'squad fillers'.

And like Sheldon said, who says the club won't do this with Green (Who I've heard nothing but rave reviews about)?

| I agree with the extension for Sam Latus. He may never be a superstar but he has proved that he isnt out of place at Super League level, and at 21 there is plenty of improvement left in him aswell.
Not convinced with the deal for Beaumont. Especially as it is for 2 years. Without being rude to Rich, James Green is twice the player he is. All that is going to happen is that Rich Beaumont will take up an overage spot in the under 20s for the next 2 years and possibly slow the development of Callum Taylor and Lloyd Ofori.

| Latus has earned his deal. As i've said on the other forum he has played predominantly on the wing but given his build could play anywhere on the pitch really, which makes him useful in the squad. Beaumont the juries out on. He played two games and looked lightweight to me. Im not sure if he has been injured since?

| i have been impressed with latus of late and feel he warrants his new deal. Beaumont i'm not so sure about on the evidence i've seen, but i openly admit that, that evidence is pretty scant to be fair so i will reserve my judgement til i have more to go on.
