| Quote: Sandra The Terrorist "It's a blue colour. When is it going to be painted red?'"
I raised the colour at the last meeting, and was informed that was the colour to match the Grey/blue on the back of the RM stand, what they didn't know is that the RM was to have a makeover, as a result NPS are getting quotes to have the ancillery building resprayed, So white it will be (eventually).
I'm sorting Easty's request by PM as a number of drawings invoved (I don't know how to post them )
He may well wish to share on here.

That just sounds rude. Sorry.

Perhaps it's a Hull City councillor thing. Who can forget Phil's erstwhile colleague Colin Inglis' insistance on proceeding with the "structure" (can't call it sculpture or art) locally known as "Three tits and a cock"?
....sadly past it's newborn peak and neglected and foul(er) than before. Barely a dribble can be forced from it's mastitis-infected nipples, tiles are now sp, discarded fag-ends clog it's gullies like a 1970's carpet and the light pulsing from the end of the tower is no more. What a fantastic waste of public money.
Still, Inglis has previous. He, of course, unlilaterally spent nearly £700,000 of Hull taxpayers' money on the infamous rl"Big Screen" debaclerl. Installed without consultation with his fellow councillors, it was brought down by the LibDems as they seized power. Political points scoring or rational austerity, Lib Dems? Well, as the money had been spent and it was in place anyway, and having winessed the scenes at a typical Hull City Council meeting, I suspect the former.
But I digress. It lay destitute in a warehouse, a futureless but valuable elephant, until Labour retook power. Quicker than you could say "Nowt nor Summat" the rlscheme was hatched for Roversrl to rent it from the council for their new scoreboard. Yet still it lingers. What happened to the plan, or is it to be incorporated into the new stand? Phil's the finance portfolio holder, isn't he? I wonder if he brokered the deal. He'll know if it's still going ahead, I bet.

Wormy, can't believe you used "structure" when you could have slid "erection" in. What a cock-up.
ERDF is an EU body, right? Blimey.

Let's hope the delay to 9th September, coincidentally the end of the season-ish, doesn't push back the repayment schedule. Interest on the prudential borrowing won't pay for itself, you know.

Sorry if that was for Phil's eyes only ...
However, the big screen was part of the ill-fated 'Golf Stand' move to the south end. As that failed, I guess there was no point in the end.
Also seem to remember some people saying the screen itself was useless in terms of it's output and tech stuff like that.

Damn. Could've said "the throbbing pulse of light, once strong, now gone, left the shaft a limp shadow of before", too. Am losing grip and spiralling down the slippery pole.
Alfresco buggery.

Really? Must've missed your answer to the 1/3 or 2/3 council risk question. Please point me to it, particularly in view of Mrs B's perturbing link on the last page.

Not just for Phil, of course not! Everything's open on here.
I do remember having a ludicrous vision of the screen propped at the back of the plastic stand, toppling onto the fans as they jumped up and bent the floor. Liked that Golf stand, me. Fond of it.
Shame, really, if the screen can't be incorporated into the new scheme. If it can't, and still languishes elephantly (new word?), it remains an even more inadequate return for the good ol' taxpayers of Hull. I'm sure Phil would've negotiated a decent rent for those he represents. Perhaps he still might do so?

| The screen was mentioned at the first fans forum.
Basically, it's so old and decrepit, it'd be better signing for Hull. No, that's not right. It's so old, parts aren't available to repair it if it breaks down.

You think Inglis paid over the odds, then?
You're a leccy with a garden shed. You'll have bits, I'm sure.
