Ultimately the coach has to take the blame. If it was one or two players not pulling their weight then fine, that isn't the coaches fault, but if you have a whole team who simply can't defend, you got to blame the coach.

If we do sack him we should politely request that he leaves the next guy his notes on our attacking structure.

We could always keep Sandercok but get somebody in like Brian Noble to take up the defensive side of the club?

You play a tight well drilled tight game plan we play with a Kevin Keegan at Newcastle 'You score 3 we will score 4' mentality.
If we had your defensive structures and actually though 'You score 1 and we will score 4' then it would be a different situation.

If you bring someone in alongside sandercock you undermine him totally. If the devision is that he's not good enough then he goes all together.

I've defended Sandercock to the hilt until now because he's had some very difficult circumstances to deal with since his arrival.

Some of our attack is top-draw at times hence why we're the best attacking side in the league so far. I also think Sandercock has assembled a very good young and promising squad with some exciting players; some of whom are coming on in leaps and bounds.

Our achilles heel though is our poor discipline and poor resilience in defence and even though they are not coachable factors, it can't be ignored that they are both trends concurrent with the current coach.

A first team player told me Sandercock has much better ideas than Morgan and is a better coach but he said that Morgan struck fear into the players so maybe they felt less at liberty to give away needless penalties with getting shouted at.

It has come to the point now though, that our players have to understand that unless they switch on for full games, then the coach they respect so much, will lose his job and it will be their fault.

That is what is happening but I doubt Sandercock expects us to go out and lose
