I'd rather stick with Dixon, the lad has done nothing wrong that any other Full back doesn't on a weekly basis. The days of a Shaun Briscoe type defensive player are long gone. Salford game apart he's been our most potent runner. Hampshire had a mare a few weeks back on tv and doesn't have the pace of Dixon. Shaul wouldn't fit into Chester's team building philosophy, hence the reason Radford isn't playing him

Another name could be Ash Goluding, wont get a game at Leeds with their backline (Although this could be a loan deal)

And one more from the other end for a year, if you have a young FB coming through, Matty Bowen.

I really hope Cockanye plays FB on Friday and not Dixon, despite his errors and defence, he frightens the life out of me with his running and quick feet.

Dixon has scored 13 tries this year and won MoM 5 times and thats from someone who has missed a fair few games and been played out of position a number of other times. If we replace him he will come back to bite us playing for another team.

I can imagine most coaches think the same. There is a fallacy that Cockayne is a super defender who never makes mistakes wherein the reality is that he makes as many. He is slightly better in defence but the team as a whole need to take responsibility for the defence and allow KD to do what he does best

I sometimes wonder what planet some of our fans are on and what they really want for this club in the future.
It beggars belief that some fans are even contemplating some of the names mentioned as fullback in place of Dixon, who is by far one of the most exiting prospects I have seen at this club in 47 years of watching and supporting both home and away.
He may well make some mistakes but no more than most others and don't forget he is still only young and will undoubtedly get better with time, he also more than makes up for any errors with his wonderful attacking talent.
These type of players only come along once in a generation and we should be thankful we have him, keep building him up and look forward to exiting times with him wearing the red and white of Rovers, instead of moaning about a few errors he makes from time to time.
