Not sure it's out of choice in every case, but thanks anyway.

| Quote Bandito="Bandito"I keep banging on about it mate but it needs sorting quickly.
Huddersfield and Hull FC need big praise for having the balls to play with the amount of British kids they do.
Other clubs such as Leeds and Saints look towards youngsters as much as they can and Wigan have that production line of youth but still opt for the Austalian when they are in trouble.
Take away the temptation and only allow one and Wigan would blood a youngster.
Given the amount of first team game Lovegrove has had I am sure Ryan Esders would be fitting in quite nicely now.
It is a joke, not only at Rovers but across Super League.'"
The galling thing for me is that clubs like mine have put a load of resource behind developing in-house talent in preparation for quotas dropping. The latest gem from the RFL basically says that virtually everyone is classed as fed trained so if anything the number of overseas players in our game will go up rather than down in the short term. This effectively disadvantages FC who've put more eggs in the homegrown basket than many others. It's a complete joke.

Exactly, at Hull there have been some good people doing great work for years bringing kids through, many of which are now playing Championship Rugby, not because they are not good enough for Super League but because they are not as good as the 6/7/8/9/10 Aussies/Overseas in the squad.
If the rules were different some of them would be playing first team for their home town club.
Do Hull KR fans really think life would be that bad watching Iain Morrison, Jon Steel and Ian Hardman pull on a jersey each week?
If the League rules were equal and everyone had to use players like the ones mentioned then surely the National Game would strengthen in the end?
Maybe I am just talking rubbish

Nice spin Mrs B
Hull did it a) - coz they could (Rovers were no threat) and b) - coz Kath thought she could get local players on the cheap like her hubby does at Leeds. It had nothing to do with quotas.
Hull still spend 2/3rds of their playing budget on overseas players.
That said i still think Rovers just pay lip service to their player development program hence the continual change of coaches at youth level. I think they've had about 6 or more different coaches since they got promoted.

The salary cap is £1.6m, 2/3 would be £1.1m. We have Berrigan, Lauaki, Cusack, Byrne, Manu, Tony and Moa. So you are saying they average £152k each, then.

But he's not coming and we've not paid him, ask Mr Gekko.
I would be surprised if any of them apart from Berro were on more than £100k, especially Moa.

I dont think he was paid was he?
Anyway, we run the risk of a rollocking for talking about Hull FC on the Hull KR/FC Forum so better leave this debate here and get back to moaning about stuff.
Either that or I can do you another Jacket Potato thread?

Its the principle.
He would have been here and he would have been earning big bucks pretty much the same as berrigan and he's on huge money. He wasn't getting paid though that is true. The other one is however
Anyway back on topic......Craig Hall is deffo worth signing and i'd be prepared to pay a fee.
