19862_1323383936.jpg This is Poorhouse Lane. And this is Neil, the rovers supporter who leads an exciting double life. For when Neil sponsors RLFANS an amazing transformation occurs. [color=#80BF40:1y1okols]Neil is Cabbageman[/color:1y1okols]. Ever alert for the call no injury too small!

Most players would find it hard to enhance their career when leaving a team second in super league.'"
Which obviously means nothing in the argument about Crossman.

| I watched Gavin Miller play for Rovers A against Bradford A at Craven Park just after he arrived, he was off-loading the ball at every chance all over the pitch, sometimes admittedly in inappropriate situations but he was a total class and more above and had hand in most of the tries as Rovers A rattled up 60+ points. I then watched him make his debut at the then top of the league Oldham the following weekend in a 31-5 rout! He was awesome! Miller had arrived! The funniest thing was Steve Crooks (then a first team player, just I think!) was in the Well for the A team game slagging Miller off like there was no tomorrow for his outrageous play. He obviously couldn't see the genius in him. Anyway look where Crooksy is now which goes to show exactly what he knew?!

Chris Anderson came over at the same time but moved to Halifax shortly after. He only made one full appearance and one as sub. We also signed a Bruce Miller after GM in January 1985 who made 5 appearances and 3 as sub, scoring 6 tries including a hat-trick against Halifax but I can't remeber what he looked like.
One thing I could never understand was why did GM recommend Paul Vannet to us! Was he taking the p?ss?

Remember a reserve game vs Halifax (I think) with Chris Anderson & Paul Harkin as the halves! Sure we scored over 100 points.
