Apologies for not going back through all 30 odd rumour pages, but I was just wondering what the word was on Shannon McDonnell and his likely whereabouts in 2013.
There were some vague rumours about him coming our way, which have been fairly quiet for a while. I did notice that your friends across the City had one or two thinking he was going their way, just wondered if there was anything definitive?

Well I guess we have got to sign a second one to cover for the games the first one misses! Shame really with Briscoe, makes a big difference when he plays, but sadly doesn't play enough, which is no doubt why you let him go.
I think there are mixed views now at the Club as to what we should do with him next year, the optimists expect him to be a good as new for the start of the season, the pessimists think its time to say cheerio (albeit that might be expensive with him having another year to go).
The signing of McDonnell would have suggested that he might be eased out (perhaps we would sweeten the pill with a coaching role?). I suppose a lot will depend upon whether he can come back and get some game time this season. |

For you guys and for Shaun I really hope so.
If he was ten per cent fit he'd play, the bloke is a warrior, unfortunately it seems that this is catching up with him.
I often worried about his long term health, I once met a lot of player from the nineteen fifties and sixties, they all seemed about twenty years older than they were.
I'm certain he could pass on his knowledge to your excellent academy. |
