Likiliki is an absolute beast in attack, but for a guy who is built like a barrel on legs he is an terrible defender.
He plays centre in the number 23 jersey because the number 3 jersey doesn't go near fitting his massive chest and shoulders.
If he learns to defend he will be New Zealand's centre for years, and maybe the best in the world - he is a faster, stronger, more elusive version of Junior Sau - who defends even worse than Junior.
His basic problem is he is the ultimate 'impact' player. He has four or five massive runs a game where he scatters defenders like leaves in the wind, and then he hangs around too stuffed to tackle for the rest of the game. |
