Look at the sentenced handed out - Raynor gets around 6 months less, suspended for 6 months less. Anyone with half a brain can see that's a lesser sentence. The offences are different but the law and the court has viewed Raynor's as less severe, independently of each other.

I dont care about sentence Chris, both should have been sacked and both should have been sent down.

If a player is out with his friends and another group want to start aggro with them, sometimes things can get out of hand a person will get hurt and that player will find himself in the paper the next day. Guilty or not.

Whats that got to do with this. The players we are talking about have been proven guilty in a court of law.

shame paul m and his cronies never saw it like that when raynor got off lightly! interesting reading, don't recall any of us laughing at the fact ben escaped prison!

As said, i dont even recall the thread and really havent got the energy to read it now. Anyone laughing at Raynor getting off (if they did) need to think about things a bit more i think.

Agreed Dave. I'm just concerned that some posters (Reenyrobin) are distorting what I'm saying. It's a FACT

that Raynor got less of a sentence than Cockayne, therefore the offence is clearly viewed as less serious by the court IMO.

I have no idea of the background to the cases really, anymore than anyone else on here does, but the fact of the sentences is there for all to see.

The judges deemed the offences to be of different scales yes, however i have no confidence in our legal system to Raynor could well have acted twice as bad!

All i am saying is Ben from now on whatever happens to him i.e stays at Rovers goes to play for another club, works on a building site. What he should not do is get drunk and end up in a town centre somewhere. Because ner do wells will be lining up to give him a good kicking. Ben if has anything about him should just go tee total.
