All I know is that I spoke to the site manager this morning. He said that work had been put on hold as there was no planning permission in place for the extension. When I was last there 3 weeks ago they didnt have the final design drawings at that point. I supose its possible that the drawings could have failed building regs. Either way, work is definitely on hold.

Building regs is probably true.
Infact Neil Hudgell mantioned the fact in a previous set of program notes.
But let us not forget that the previous extension was also held up over reg changes.

I will nominate pmh to be the independent arbiter of this statement as it's unlikely he'll actually attend a game before the date this statement is enacted, ie 2 July, with his convenient prior commitments to basket-weaving and CAMRA Royston Vasey weekends. As a consequence he will miss the construction phase of the East and clearance for the North. The test will therefore be whether he passes the apparently technically complex development known locally as the CP Deathstar, disorientated because the ground is just, well, unrecognisable.
