He won the cup with Hull and reached a GF. He helped us survive in SL in the final season of promotion and relegation, to emerge from Hull's shadow and then reach the play-offs. There is plenty on the debit side too, of course and his move between the clubs will remain controversial, but rugby-wise he's made a bigger mark than most, at both clubs.
I've enjoyed him being at Rovers - it has been, erm - interesting. Fabulous player on his day. Good luck to him for the future - hope we doesn't play for Wakefield on Friday, but.

I'm not saying its not true, but I will await a source slightly more reliable than the HDM before piling in on this thread. Afterall, their Graeme Horne exclusive didn't exactly hit the nail on the head now did it?

In theory he is, I'm pretty sure. And theory and practice shouldn't be too different. The only exception that I can think of would be if there was an effort to reduce backloading. I think it is just a case of Cooke wanting out and the club wanting shot. |

He did FC more damage leaving then he did helping KR and I think it is time for many to reflect on the wisdom of that move. He has cost KR a lot of money since his move over and I understand he is still costing you a bit even after his departure.
The damage relasionships between the two clubs management and fans will run on and that is his lasting legacy.
Has it been worth it ?

I did notice they hadn't got a quote or anything resembling confirmation from either club or Cooke. You'd have to be pretty confident to run with it, though. Their credibility (I know!  ) would be badly damged and they must know that. |
