| Terrible idea IMO, there's countless talented (but as yet unsigned) local bands who would jump at the chance to play in front of 8000-9000 people to get their name out there.   |

I think its a great marketing idea TBF. I agree about the local bands, but how many extra people would they attract?

Actually, I think Roofs has stumbled across a good idea here, we get The Paddingtons on, people would stay away and hopefully I'd have a bit of space in the East Stand again.  |

Maybe none. However, that exposure could be a catalyst for said local band to become a huge mainstream act, and so if they played a return CP gig a year or two down the line it would probably draw more people then.   |

It's the first game of the season, traditionally the one attended by most "drifting" fans. You should be able to get a decent enough crowd without forking out unnecessary cash on 15 minutes of entertainment (plus half time) |
