| I fully agree with all the comments regarding seating at rugby grounds. My wife and I don't go to any of the grounds where you have to sit and definately don't go to international matches finals and the like. Last time we went to a final it cost nearly £80 for 2 tickets and all we saw was someones axxrs for 80 minutes. Even at Edinburgh last year we had to sit upstairs in the freeezing cold to get a reasonable view, In my opinion it should be all standing or all sitting if you stand up you get thrown out why should people have to put up with bafoons jumping up and down when ever any exciting moments happen. The only ground where you get a decent view sat down is wigan as they allocate a full stand to the away supporters, but even then you get some idiot that keeps jumping up and you are that high up you can see everything from a seated position. Bring back the good old days when standing was the norm,We stand in the well at craven park and love it.

| Lets be honest, if its an all seater - everyone knows if your in the middle near the top.... everone is going to be standing, and if your that bothered find me and ill point you to an empty seat were you can sit down and watch perfectly.
P.S. ill be the one standing, blocking someones view....

Put yourself in the position of a disabled fan/wheelchair user who can only watch the game from dedicated areas, we cannot move to another section as you suggest so why should we put up with looking at the back of your head?
If you do it in front of me pal, [i(Rovers fan or not)[/i, if you ignore the stewards request to sit down you could be ejected from the ground/stadium! Think about that at the next game you go to!'"
WOWOWOWWWWWWW
if there was a disabled section behind me i wouldnt stand infront of it if it ment you been unable to see, but as far as im aware ive always stood up and never had a complaint from people around me...
and im pretty sure theres no disabled facilities in the middle at the top in any grounds - correct me if im wrong?

Have you considered the fact people may be intimidated by you and your standing friends so much that they daren't say ask you to sit down?
Without starting an argument here, I appreciate you saying you wouldn't stand in front of a disabled area, but fail to see why you think it acceptable to permanantly stand and in doing so blocking other peoples view. Yes, you may have a totally unobstructed view of the game but those unlucky enough to be SEATED behind you havent.
Friends went to the Galpharm last year for the Giants v Rovers game and the only time they saw the pitch was when they entered & left the stadium - they saw none of the match thanks to individuals standing in front.

Like i say we always stand at the very top if possible not to obstruct the views for other people; if we cant get right at the top we end up near the top and everyone else around us (including infront) are already standing up anyway, but i still cant think of a stadium that has disabled areas where it would impare your viewing of the game...?
Also if we sat down all the time there would be no atmosphere created at all.

Hi VRR I think you miss the point, forget the disabled viewing areas, I mean if you stand in a seated area you therefore block the views of those unfortunate to be seated behind you. Which in turn, forces them to stand..... creating a 'domino effect' so everyone HAS to stand - all because individuals think "I'don't like to sit down, stuff those behind me!"

| I like to sit down at matches, hence my pass is for the Roger Millward stand, and it really annoys me when some idiot keeps standing up.

| And i like to stand up which is why im in the east stand,
i agree its a domino effect but these are mainly football grounds that get filled and have a heated atmosphere which is why they are all seated (hillsborough disaster)
But rugby grounds very rarely get filled and is much more relaxed hence why you are not MADE to sit down like in football.
You cant move in the stand if football is been played - but in rugby theres room to move if you dont like the view.

| Common sense if you wnt to stand you go to the back - if you want to sit stay towards the front. Hate sitting down at Rugby games
