| Quote: gingerspice "Right jake do u understand that your owner wanted 15,000 a game to break even to I presume to make money now unfortunately Pearson isn't going to be able to list the players as collateral like uncle kath did so jake lets see what the yearly figure comes out at FC at the year end, and also lets see how Pearson will find the 300 grand the allams were putting into the smc oh and then there is the pitch to put towards seen as u do play on it aswell so I understand perfectly it is you who is missing the point dear jake as u think that Pearson has a pit full of money well he hasn't got an endless one.'"
Take a breath love and look for that full stop button on your keyboard.
Firstly, Hull do not need 15k people through the gate to break even. When we were averaging 14k we were making in excess of £250k profit even with an owner who was milking the club for all it was worth. The allams don't give us £300k per year so that won't affect us and the SMC are responsible for the pitch so that won't cost us a bean. If you understood finance at all you'd realise that valuing players as assets in the balance sheet (not collateral as you put), has no effect whatsoever on the profitability of the club. Christ, even easty understands that one and he's a self confessed dimwit. Keep clutching at straws and pretending you know who the new investors are though.
I do agree that pearson doesn't have an endless pit of money but seeing as there is no such thing then it's not really any great revellation is it. Thankfully he's not bleating in the press that he's withdrawing his financial support in a few months though.

That's good for FC then jake and thankfully our owner is realising that we need more money invested to be a top side I think hudgell has done his fair share of putting money in, lets see how long Pearson is prepared to do it, are you telling me jake that when fc's accounts come out FC will have made a profit, with regards to the pitch and the allams ect all the news is wrong then Is it in the papers.

Because the cash cow had run dry, they weren't prepared to invest and were faced with a potential 7 figure tax bill

Obviously we won't be making a profit at current attendace levels. I never said we were, in fact it was you who brought Hull up because you had nothing sensible to add to my pefectly reasonable post. You need to realise how difficult it is trying to comminicate with someone who believes anything negative they hear about Hull FC and only believes the positive rumours about rovers. Are you still convinced larvin iscoming with his suitcases full of cash?

Right ok so ur cash cow had run out so it was ok for wealthy Pearson to come in and save the club from whatever yet our club try to do the same and it's turned into the biggest thing ever by certain fans on here, ur club is or was no better really than ours financially as Pearson is now finding out tbh jake a think a lot of FC fans especially the ones that come on here are scared were going to find a buyer/investor that is wealthier than Pearson.

Makes no difference to me who owns rovers. Having a ich owner isn't everything. hudds, saints, wigan, wire and salford all have very wealthy owners but it doesn't guarantee success.
Hull have significantly more potentail than rovers though due to their much larger fan base.
Anyway, this is getting dull so are you on any of those cougar dating sites? You weren't too bad looking I seem to remember in a dirty MILF next door kind of way

| As a Rovers fan I find it amusing that so many of our fans are trying to find something negative about FC when its us that are in a precarious position. We shout down anyone (mostly FC fans) who say they want our club to go under and then in the next breath say we wish the same on them. I've said before I don't care how well they do as long as League is strong in Hull and the UK. Like it or not we need to find a solution to the problem and it will most likely be a consortium, which is no bad thing as even FC fans will have heard the term 'two heads are better than one'.
We should keep the faith until all hope is gone, and anyway i'm looking forward to us beating the Jolly Green Giants and then progressing in the Cup next week.
God bless to you all, even you FC fans.

Well said. Where would the fun be in rovers going pop. Won't happen and you'll be in SL next season but I can't see someone really wealthy stepping in

| Some fair points made in between the bitching.
Why would a non fan invest? Balance that with why did koukash (sp) invest in salford. Would it be an ego thing for someone who cant afford a footy team.
Allam is a possible I suppose in a philanthopist kind of way.
Bottom line is no one is going to make much out of rugby. Pearsons only way would be a modestprofit or even loss year on year and if he gets success then he'd sell at a profit or maybe its a hobby he enjoys and can afford it.

Gosh a sensible post. I assume most sports owners are in for the ego trip - good luck to them. They certainly aren't in for the money because with one or two notable exceptions sports teams never make any. That doesn't mean you have to throw cash away recklessly though and its quite possible to view a managed loss as justifiable entertain expense. To this end I believe RL offers more bang for your buck compared to lower division football in terms of possible trophy winning and its attendant local hero status - something I suspect Person thinks as well.
As for Allam, wouldn't trust the man at all and doubt his real agenda is at all philanthropic.

I agree but the man is minted, local, knows our chairman, already has a substantial sum ‘invested’ in the team, states philanthropic interests in the city’s sporting teams and may even have an agenda against FC’s chairman
With a severe lack of people who tick many of those boxes then he’d be hard man to turn down if he came knocking.

I agree, but I can't get past his having plenty on his plate at City. Plus nh has said 'we' are replaying the Allams' loan.
