The only other players I've seen you linked with are Withers & Paea, are you linked with anyone else?'"
I thinkyou will find 2013 is the season to look at as IIRC we will only have 4 or 5 of the current squad signed up beyond next season (unless some of the kids have had their deals extended) so the new coch will have a year to look at what we have got already, what he can bring in and then make his own team for 2013.

I agree, the new coach will have his eye on recruiting HIS team for 2013

Whilst it is, of course, prudent to use the word "jealous" with reference to your fanatical little chairman, your context is wrong in this sentence. "Amused by..." would be more appropriate while we are commentating on his bum over boobs approach to team building for next year.

That aside, weve brough in Hodgeson for Fox (about the same money if not less?)
O'Hara for Vella (will be on less money)
Horne for Cook (about the same money)
Taulapapa for Briscoe (will be on less money)
Griffin for Colbon (the same or more likely less money)
Followed by Charlie, Newton, Mason & fisher going, id say we have an absolutely massive ammount of the cap left for the new coach to bring in quality players.'" Hope not, if Cooks rumoured wages are true

Tauapapa is a utility replacement for Cockayne on less money, leaving Briscoe's considerable six-figure salary free.
Horne will be on less than Cooke too, as will Griffin compared to Colbon.
Paea will be on slightly less than Newton too.
Against that, Withers will be coming on more money than Fisher;
And the likes of Taylor and Hodgson have signed significantly raised contracts as have, to a lesser extent, Beaumont, Latus, Dobson and Green.
All told, I would estimate that, even after the anticipated arrivals of Paea and Withers, the club would still have at least £200k salary cap space free.

Must be at least twice that surely. You've lost mason, vella, newton and briscoe who would have been 5 of your top 6 earners and replaced them with no one of note as yet. Must be at least £400k, probably more

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

What's to be jealous of: finishing lower than we have? perhaps he's devastated to have only lost 1 derby game this season? Maybe he's gutted at missing out on some of the quality NRL signings made by your outgoing coach?
The future continues to look rosy what with gates on the up as well as a 3rd consecutive appearance in the play offs.
I'm sure "jealous" is the 1st word on his lips each morning!

Very much doubt he will be on less the Cook, He was on peanuts and thats why hes going to quins - wanted to stay but he would earn more in a call centre then what he would staying for that wage; and thats from the player himself.

I find this very hard to believe and was probably said tongue in cheek, after 3 years of no pay rises I once said to my boss 'I would be better off stacking shelves at ASDA', which I wouldn't be really and i doubt Cook would be paid less than a call centre worker for playing SL football.

| Not too sure about it being off mark if you look at the recent blogs about what Mariano and Beaumont were on for their 1st year - £7,500. Latus was the same but obviously got more for a 2nd year. Frankie and Esders doubled their wages when they left for example. The top earners are on very good wages, £100,000+ all of them.
