Just for the record, Stacey Jones did the same at Catalans.
He broke his arm in Round 2, they de-registered him, ironically they signed a certain Dobson lol, and then in Round 15 Jones played again and Dobson returned to Canberra.
Players can come off the quota whenever (in the way Mason will anyways), so as soon as Mason's clearance comes through (next few days) Mason will then come off quota, and Dobson can go back on.
The word terminated has been misused in this instance. Btw, the 30 page thread on Stacy Jones at the time was excellent reading....

Or clever enough to get it in the first place.
I for one cannot wait for the day we have a side full of locally trained lads, but even after 4 seasons, we are playing catch up in this area. If we had not brought in these players we would more likley to have been in the bottom 2 each season and in danger of not getting a licence.

That was 5 years ago. Not sure if the rules were even the same back then, but they're pretty clear now. And it was a temporary replacement not a permanent addition. |

Permission hasn't been granted but they have been told that it will be.
The spokeswoman failed to mention that part.
Rather a large ommision if you ask me.
This statement makes me think that Rovers DID get it written down though |

RFL: 'although we originally indicated that we would re-register Dobson as an Hull KR player, we have now decided not to because of the jamming of our switchboard by obsessed, hate filled to$$ers from the west of Hull, in fact we have had 357 calls from one whining b'stad alone called Smokey TA and have agreed to his demands to shut the pillock up'

Her statement was a completely factual response to the question she was asked. Had the HDM asked her a supplementary then they may have got the complete picture.
And strictly speaking Rovers have been told that they will be granted permission providing all other regs are satisfied. Can't see where they won't be, mind.

maybe, but its on here I am seeing the most opposition, spoke to several peole today on a site in Leeds (fans of Bulls, Rhinos and a couple of Giants) who didn't seem to see it as a major issue, maybe we have a select bunch on here. |
