| Re, Lovegrove, I'd be very sorry to see him go. His low try ratio could be in attributed to never having a sustained run in his best position which is second row. Some of the best form I've seen from Lovegrove was last season filling in for Patterson when he was running in tries for fun. He's played a good few games at prop prior to this season, he has never been and never will be a prop. As for his missed tackles I feel he has been required to play big minutes to compensate for others who could not. Any forward at KR playing the minutes he has (in the middle of the park) would probably miss a few tackles. I think the guy is just peaking in terms of performance. Keep.

Cases could be made for all departing players for one reason or another but at the end of the day, unless better players are brought in, we will never see any real and significant improvement.
A consequence of that is that some crowd favourites will be moved on - that's professional sport and the sooner our sentimental brigade accept this fact the better it will be for the club.
Regarding Poore, I think he'd be a good signing so hope we get him regardless of which player has to make way because I support Hull Kingston Rovers - not individual players.

| Would go well at Waky would Rhys. Swap deal would suit both parties I would suggest coz if he isn't in Sandy's plans what is the point in him staying ?

I agree about sentiment. But BF's post doesn't fall back on the pride/passion/100%er cliches. I think he just rates the lad more highly than you do. I think RL is a valuable member of the squad and with 2 years left on his deal I'm surprised at rumours that we're looking to move him on.

The club have come in to some cash so they now have the option to move players on by coming to reasonable settlements I'd assume.
I don't get why anyone should be surprised at the club moving on a player who's 2nd in the missed tackles count for the whole of the league - surely that's pretty obvious regardless of whether you or I rate him or not??
I just want the best squad possible whether that contains current players or new players.

Definitely.
And recruitment and retention has to be judged as a whole.
If we've got more cash, then we've got more options. Even then, in the little game of RL Championship Manager I play in my head, it wouldn't be a plan that'd leap out at me. In the real world CS has to make the calls.
This is just chucking thoughts and ideas about.

| I'm a little bit surprised were trying to move RL on, We have seemed a better team with him on the pitch than without and he does seem to inject an element of hard running when he comes on.
The missed tackles stat is always a strange one for me surely the stat should be a % figure of tackles attempted vs tackles made. A lazy player who's constantly out of position wont miss many tackles he just wont be there to make them.
As has been said it looks as is if CS has seen something missing in RL's game (attitude?) that he doesn't think is fixable so we'll have to see if its the correct call.
