Peter Gentle was rejected by Hull KR as their new head coach due to his lack of ambition.:simpsons/007.jpg

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle. Frederick Douglas:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_30596.jpg

Quote: Gordon Gekko "

Also why do Rovers have a left winger who carries the ball in his right hand and a right winger who carries the ball in his left hand??

Christ knows, it was bad enough that it was happening and noted before but absolutely criminal at this level that it's still going on now. I mean, you'd get a complete and thoroughly deserved b0llocking off your coach at under eights level never mind at this.

When you consider how analytical Morgan is and take into account his legendary video review sessions it is a bit strange that something as fundamental as this is overlooked. Especially in view of a particular tackle we were on the receiving end of last season and the end result.

Fox is playing on the wrong wing and has been for almost 2 years. Before the change of wing he was regularly scoring, now he's going from bad to worse.

If the England manager wants to pick him for right wing fine, but his best position for Rovers is on the left! icon_frustrated.gif

If you look back over the last few years, signing young, talented fast backs hasn't been KR's strength has it? Other than Latus (who is NOT a back).....? Forwards seem to be Morgan's speciality ATM.

nothing wrong with smelling the flowers its when you start picking them when the problems start.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_19950.jpg

I think briscoe had a really good 1st season ,he seems to have slipped since then though ,
he was a fantastic attacking player at FC but seems to have lost that spark.
whether thats down to confidence lack of form age or coached out off him im not sure but he is not the briscoe of old.

maybe some time on the side lines will give him his hunger back for the game.

for me charlie is the one to slot striaght in at fullback.aggression and a bit off pace will prob do the side alot of good.

one bad side to ben is he likes to get involved which can be a weak point and im sure he will be targeted by coaches to wind him up .

as for eastmond ,i think its a non started beside's if he did come in i dont think full back is were he would be played ,missing dobbo i would have though scrumm half would be his most obvious solution.

cant see his heart been in it anyway even if it was a route we went down

I think the fact that Colbon played on the right yesterday (and looked far more assured there) is a definite sign that Fox will play on the left if and when he sorts himself out.

Totally agree about this point but perhaps when you're that close to it all, then sometimes the most logical things can be overlooked.

I think what yesterday showed for me is that our back 5 have been the main problem so far this season rather than the forwards or half-backs and an 89% completion rate is proof in the pudding that I think apart from Fox being out of form, everyone in the back 5 were playing in positions they were comfortable in and the rest of the team was more assured as a result.

Also with decent kick returns it shows we have some strength in depth in our forwards when you consider we have Newton & Wheeldon out of the team and Murrell playing in the halves at the moment.

HULL KINGSTON ROVERS is my religion, Craven Park is my church and Jordan Abdull is my God:

Briscoe was what we needed in 2008 and he's had 3 and abit good years here so far but at the minute it looks to me his time here could end up the same as it did at Hull, replaced by a player who brings more in terms of attacking options

I don't see it as a job. It is a passion and love that we all share. Neil Hudgell:30566.jpg

Briscoe's form needs to improve, no question about it. He has been good for us since his arrival and can be still be good for us long term, just needs to get back to his best. If not then maybe it would be best if he did move on at the end of the season.

I also think it would benefit Sherriff if he could get out on loan to a Championship side at some point this season.
