| All I can see is that the penalty is NFA to 1 game nothing about the outcome.

| Quote: phil webbo "That's not entirely true either, because that would mean that if you felt that the RFL had it wrong and you wanted to contest it you would be forced to use your EGP, meaning pleading guilty to something you haven't done, that would put them in breach of Natural justice although I believe the terminology has changed, it falls under the right to a fair hearing which pleading guilty when there is a belief of innocence is a good example of this.'"
But you're still free to contest the charge and you're not obliged to use an EGP.
There's just the strong temptation to play the system, even if you think you're innocent. Because being honest, 'you' feeling the RFL have it wrong isn't the most rational basis to plead not guilty - it's more what you think they'll think. So, it becomes a bit of a game.

Quite agree MR, it's like magistrates court, a good friend of mine is on the bench and because people are given stricter sentences if they plead not guilty, they generally all plead guilty, he said he has sat there on the bench thinking the weight of evidence was in the defendants favour yet they're too afraid to chance it and risk a higher penalty, so I assume the rational would be the same with Red Hall.

I suspect they haven't finished reading out the rap sheet yet when considering his previous good character.

If Rugby League Rocks, then Hull KR is its Soul.: |
|
| In case you haven't picked up the news yet from Red Hall, Mitch Allgood has been found not guilty by the RFL disciplinary panel on his Grade A charge following the derby game. Confirmation is on the HKR website twitter feed.
Allgood is free to play against Cas.
Good news!

They could still be at it now. It'll be like the Eli Wallach hanging scene in The Good The Bad and The Ugly....

He's copped a 7 match ban. Shame it won't be a game against us.

I should've added in my original explanation that you're perfectly entitled to challenge the charge and not just use your EGP, Phil.
having talked to 1 or 2 of the players and a former coaching staff member about the madness of the EGP farce in the past they all said the same, with a match commissioner at every match and every game reviewed on the Monday at Red Hall the feeling is that if you've been picked out for a charge you might as well take the EGP whether you're guilty or not as the panel then look at the same evidence and pretty much everyone is then found guilty ignoring what you or even the injured party says in your mitigation! I guess the Mitch Allgood case bucked the trend thankfully

| Gutted to lose Blair, didn't think he would be anywhere near this good when I first saw him jog out purely based on his mud gut. He's injured anyway I suppose. Surprised Allgood got off, even with rervers specs on I thought it was a crusher tackle when compared with other ones that have been cited.
