| Quote: Dudley "You do realise if this isn't how things pan out you will be getting quoted for months to come, as sure as eggs are eggs Katy Kenco will have your post in her database now.'"
Quoted on what exactly?, will it be the fact that iv'e stated, i've heard from sources that are as reliable as any that there will be changes but they wont be quite as dramatic as some others seem to think or simply the fact that i stated i prefer to deal in facts not rumours in which case i will wait and see what comes about nearer the day?.
Every other week i spend time in the Harry pool bar talking to friends including a couple of the directors whom i've known for many years and i hear all sorts of things, some relevant to the clubs fortunes and others not so, the one thing i hav'nt heard anyone say definitively is that there will be a mass exodus of 11 players or anywhere near that figure, for starters, where would we get 11 or even 8 replacements (as Mrs B suggests), of better quality than what we already have,? even if they were available dont you think all the other clubs would also be competing for their signature.?
At the end of the day they ( the directors ) including the ones i'm familiar with will only tell you what they want you to know and its not always a lot, i doubt very much that any of the others will give more information than they should to other fans, no matter how well they may know them.
So, if Katy Kenco or whoever feels the need to quote me on the what i said earlier, especialy if it adds to their otherwise dull existence, then i say go ahead quote away, im happy to be of service.

| Just watched the highlights vid of Kev & Wes Naiqama, wow.
Kev, Great winger, left or right. Fantastic fend and brilliant turn of pace, some killer tackles when a try looked certain, too. The one where the post pads helped out was nothing short of amazing.
Wes, some fantastic fullback work and a deadly combination in the centres with his brother outside him.
Even if we did keep Shannon, these two have gotta be on't radar.

| Where do we stand work permit wise? Given the lack of 1st team appearances could it be a problem? Does his Fijian status count in his favour?

At present Ginger no, as ive already said previously i've heard the various rumours as to who we may be at least targeting but thats all they are as far as im concerned at present.
However, for what its worth two of the rumoured players are from Newcastle nights (one been a centre/winger) if thats any good to you.

It was simply a little bit of sarcasm aimed at Mrs B in response to one of her comments.

| Quote: Paul T - HKR "The Naiqama brothers are Fijian internationals (Wes is the current captain, I think) so no problem with quota. The problem though is neither of them are full backs - Kev's a winger and Wes is a centre.'"
Kev is the current Fijian fullback and has played much of his lower grade football as a fullback - about a third of his games. At one stage last year he was the preferred fullback in reserve grade, pushing Shannon McDonnell to the wing, but he is equally at home on the wing. He also plays a bit of centre.
Wes has played many games at fullback in firstgrade over the last few years and many people think it's his best position. He was second choice fullback for firstgrade last year, the pecking order being Kurt Gidley, Wes Naiqama, Shannon McDonnell.
This year they have all been passed by Pete Mata'utia, and next year Pat and Chanel Mata'utia and the next year Sione Mata'utia will give us an all Samoan and one Fijian (Uate) back five. All the Mata'utia brothers have played for Australia at junior level, and all four will play fullback, wing or centre in firstgrade. They rang from 16 year old Sione (current NSW captain at under 16 level) to 22 year old Pete (firstgrade fullback last week and 10 firstgrade appearences).

I stand corrected

Good work GR. Wings sorted. Craig Hall in to centre with a Beatles mop-top, Disco Dave to full back with a bubble perm and face paint like Gene Simmons.
