There's the Cookie factor to add int the mix as well, shouldn't make a difference but it will be another angle for the local media to latch onto.
Watching the highlights of their Featherstone game they looked to have had a large slice of luck getting through that one, their results tend to suggest that they are a far better team at the LSV than they are away from home, hopefully finishing that one place higher will pay dividends in this respect

| I'm really looking forward to the Leigh match as it will be my first match I've gone to in Hull for a couple of years, excellent stuff!

| Maybe we will maybe we won't? Don't get where you're coming from with that?whatever the result next Saturday your team is in a good position. A few of you guys seem to have a victim mentality when in truth few would begrudge it if you won promotion.Could/should be party time for you guys start enjoying it

Its rugby league Craig..All Super League teams, will as we keep getting told be playing for their jobs. You could probably say the same about Championship teams. It's all about how you perform on the day,not status.

I would assume barring a disaster that if we beat Leigh then we'll be fine. Keep professional and we should see wins at London and Featherstone and that would give us 10 points and a reasonable points difference (which could be key).

| What arrogance? You are about a year late with that attitude. If winning games is classed as arrogance though then fine.I have not seen any arrogant statements made by our current coach or owner, I can't speak for the odd idiotic fan on these boards however.
edit: Ah you are a Hull FC supporter using your 'hatred' of Leigh as an excuse to support your neighbours so you don't get lynched by your mates

| Putting myself in the Leyther's position for a moment, I can quite understand them being annoyed, they've won their league what four or five times on the bounce and still haven't been promoted. They've got a great new stadium, appear to have enough money to be viable in SL and have serious designs on improving as a club.

The 3 times before I have sympathy with them, last year they had a chance, seemingly a pretty good one going into the play offs, and completely blew it. This was on the back of a lot of spouting and bravado. I agree with demonuk though they seem to have learned their lesson and are going about it a lot quieter this year.
Saturday will be a tough game for us, but (hopefully) we seem to have turned a corner in the last couple of games and are playing with a teaminess and hopefully put in a professional performance.

| A decent ref for the game - Rob Hicks. Plus, we've got our (Leigh) favourite video ref -James Child. (was it four or five Salford 'tries' he disallowed in our game with them? )

No 'arrogance' about this game 'Wilde 3' . We now have a coach who respects (but doesn't fear) ALL our opponents and who is fully aware of the enormous challenge awaiting us on Saturday. Our tactics and style of play couldn't be more different this season - that's why we don't have any backs on 30+ tries this season, (compared with three last year) and why our leading scorers are all forwards.
I'm not expecting us to win this one, but we certainly won't be holding back to concentrate on the Huddersfield game, the week after.
Here's to a good game.

| Well put, Alan. The quicksilver, swashbuckling rugby was great to watch and, indeed, served Leigh well in the Cup. But it was rumbled and, in the 8s (the sharp end, the only bit that, ultimately, mattered) the air was suddenly thick with the wings of previously counted chickens coming home to roost.
Different story this time. Leythe visit KR as massive underdogs, in hope rather than expectation. But they will not target Game 5 and take the foot off the pedal. Each game as it comes. If we get beaten or even tonked! Jukes will get them to regroup and face the next challenge.
For the travelling and also the home fans, here's to a good match. I personally will be having kittens as I give teeth and taters to customers at work.
