MIKE SMITH- THE BEST CENTRE HULL HAS EVER MADE!: |
|
| Quote: robinrovers10 "From what I've seen this season championship wise the only ones to stand out were Adam Tangata from Halifax, James Bentley from Bratfud, Will Maher for Batley and Mark Mexico at Sheffield. Out of them only Tangata fits the bill in terms of what type of player we need.
I would love to sign George Burgess on loan for the middle 8s, although there would be more chance of Tim Sheens fingering the Queen.'" im sure Philip would be impressed, although I hear he likes fish fingers for tea

We had a contract for T-Rex Williams and was due to come on board in the coming weeks but has done his ACL so that's a no go. the article said about Williams, plus another forward so I'm guessing we will push for the "other" forward asap due to Williams' injury'"

Thought this myself earlier, can't see the Justin carney rumour been true he doesn't exactly cover himself in glory saying that Sheens would be the type of coach to get him to knuckle down although I reckon Leigh are very interested possibly Widnes too.

The mail says we have signed him till the end of 2018 tim used to coach him and that it does not matter which league we are in

| Signing Justin 'no neck' Carney might be Sheen's first recruitment mistake. Whilst powerful, he is a Willie Mason sized liability. If he helps get us promoted and then ditch him then he might be passable.

| Wouldn't be a player I would want but saying that always played well against us.upgrade on what we have but wing isn't a position we look short on.same with Tyrone, another under sized second rower .no good for promotion ..need a beast of a forward or 2

| Do we think another halves option is still on the cards? Just watching Mitchell Moses debut for Paramatta, wonder where that leaves Will Smith? He'd be a great signing imo.

| Rumour on Facebook: Rovers have approached the Giants over the availability of Danny Brough.
Seeing how the Giants themselves will more than likely be in the Mid8s I can't see this developing.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| Can't see it, although according to my connections with Arena 84 Barracuda fans him and Stone don't get on.
Is he also what we need?
Abdull seems to have the organisation sorted, we need a runner surely.

| Stones might be dumb enough to let it happen.
Brough is light years better than Ellis even at this age.

Can't see them letting brough go to a middle 8's rival unless they have someone better lined up which seems unlikely. They'd be better off sitting him in the stands than letting him go to a rival

| Sheens said in his press conference that he was looking forward to seeing the league 1 cup final and that there were a couple of players he wanted to cast an eye over.
In the the North West Mail it says we are interested in in Joe Bullock and Lewis Charnock from Barrow
Barrow say they haven't had any approach about the pair and are under contract anyway. So would involve fee if true.
