| Hewer wasn't too bad, certainly better than last week (Campbell). The biggest error was calling Greenwood as tackled right at the end when his ball carrying arm was a foot in the air!
I just laughed at half of the East Stand moaning about short kick offs, showing their lack of knowledge about the laws of the game.

Abdull my MOM, closely followed your Donno and Lunt. We bombed opportunities for more points and caught white line fever again in the second half, lacking composure and vision in the process. Defence was excellent as was forward momentum. Yes, Oldham were poor but we knackered them out in the first half hour playing against a gale force wind, completing at almost 100%. Job well done.
C
Didn't see what Scruton did to warrant his sin binning. Referee was cack but fair.'"
I went with Abdull for mom, hard to pick as it was a good team effort where no one stood out as such. Scruton chicken winged the player, was so blatant but the lino still had to tell the ref, could have been straight red. Went a bit dumb 2nd half but by far best performance of the year.

| I thought the ref was ok apart from a couple of bizarre calls near the end kept a fast PTB which we've been moaning about minns was good but a bit greedy a couple of times he could of put moss away and didn't and we saw how fast he can be but I would prefer him at FB having Abdul is like having another forward agree with pickers him or Donaldson my mom Scruton was stupid and deserves a ban still think we need another big prop although Clarkson is a lot more effective as a prop than a SR

| The good the bad and the ugly today, some good play, some overplay, I think it's impossible to put in an 80 minute performance and today was probably about 35 minutes. Oldham tried hard but we're pretty poor today, I kept willing them on to test our goal line defence because I think we need more testing in order to improve it. Spent the second half stood next to Gavin Miller and his wife in the East stand wondering how good he would have been for us in this division.

| A much needed winning margin, against a very poor team who looked to be short of ideas and direction.
We are still not playing through our sets, seem to be single drives rather than using our line to beat teams on the edges.
Abdul was good today (apart from his early kicking) along with Clarkson, Greenwood and Donno ( my MoM).
Moss is not showing up very well on the wing and maybe it's time to give Oakes a run out and try him at fullback.

| First 30 mins into the wind was very good.
Second half a mess at times...no patience. The defence was good. They didn't make a break.
Quinlan and Hefernan barely saw the ball.
The kicking game remains a concern. Terrible execution. To get promoted the kicking game has to improve dramatically.
Despite the score we know little else at this stage than were a positive work in progress.
Lunt man of the match for me. Abdul and Scruton the next best.
Any news on Clark?

To be fair the wind didn't help with the kicking today, first half into a really strong wind we put up a couple of daft bombs and second half we didn't get to the end of many of our sets to judge the kicking. Definitely right about a work in progress.

Not a chance. I would not drop Quinlan just to give Moss a chance in a different position. The kid may have speed but very indecisive. We either stick with him on the wing or just replace him, not move him to FB.

One of the short kicks didn't appear to go the 10 before been blown back.

From where I was stood on the 40, the first I'd give the benefit of the doubt, but only just, but the 2nd was a bit dubious I thought.

Moss is a FB and a very good one just see what the Bradford say about him so not a case of trying him somewhere else

Pretty good assessment is that, especially regarding the kicking. Think we need to vary it up a bit, no seen an attempted 40/20 yet, yesterdays wind was perfect.
From what ive heard from Sheens, he seems to have a different outlook on kicking, especially regards kicking into the in goal area

| Just like to say a big thanks to HKR for the welcome at the game yesterday, brilliant stewards and supporters who had a natter with our small band in the Colin Hutton stand, great to see your fans walking out from there applauding the Oldham fans and also the players at the end of the game.
As for the match, well that's the worst we will play all season I hope, game had gone after 15 mins and we never got out of the blocks. Impressive line speed and play the ball speed from your lads all game. Best side in this division by a mile. Good luck for the rest of the season and see you at Bower Fold for the return fixture when hopefully we will put a better display on!

Moss may have been a good FB in a poor Bradford side. Quinlan was a good FB in a very good Saints side during his time there. And from what I've seen on the pitch Moss has shown nothing that would want me to choose him over Quinlan. So either Moss improves on the wing or is replaced. He's not a bad player at all, just indecisive. He can get away with that against our current level of opponents but....

| No disrespect intended towards Oldham, the wind kept Rovers honest in the first half and then, I am afraid, complacency set in.
For me, poor game management in the 2nd half undid the progress of the first half, which I am sure will have annoyed Sheens. At least Rovers nilled Oldham.
My MOM was Thomas Minns; it was a good solid all-round performance albeit greedy at times.
