| Hasn't campese got another 2 1/2 years left on a lucrative contract? Do you think he's likely to walk (hobble) away from that?

That's not the immediate concern, though.
Fwiw, 2018 is an option iirc, and I'd hope and expect that if it in his favour, it'd have conditions in place.
If it becomes a problem, at least it means we haven't been relegated.

You're ok Jake compared to some of your associate wums but as you know he left months before Peacock arrived.

Surely he left after peacock was appointed though? And his replacements were someone from leeds carnegie and former leeds met student. Presumably peacock had a hand in those appointments?

Aye but he's spent more time sat on the crapper this season then on the field.

| Terry Campese is our most influential player ...by far.....though it has to be admitted that his ongoing injury issues cast a doubt on his overall value.
Getting rid now doesn't seem to make much sense to me unless someone at Rovers is willing to stump up to pay him off and then find a similar quality replacement and pay similar big bucks for the new man assuming such a man exists ....which he doesn't.
Campo's latest injury is a 2 week job ..would you or would you not want him still with us for the middle 8's even for just a part?
Imagine being in the million pound game, our very Super League existence in the balance ( I don't think we will be) with our best player sat in the stands unavailable cos we have paid massive money to get rid.

| Dykes was a great half back .......The game he played against Wakefield in the semi-final of the Challenge Cup was superb and got Hull FC to the final, unfortunately he only played a few games a season because he was so injury prone .......Is this really the same scenario that we are hoping to build our team on?
Campese is a great half back that has the knowledge to organise the squad within a game and practice game management, but Matty Marsh will make more appearances within his role because he is less injury prone ........Is this really the scenario that we are comfortable with?
Basically, we don't have a regular, consistent and adequate half-back organiser right now .......Dobbo carried us for many years ......And presently we have hundreds of thousands of pounds that spends more time on the terraces and a youngster that would struggle to get into many of the Championship teams as our option at half-back .....How on earth do we think we will progress given this scenario?!?!
And, we have just given Matty Marsh a four year deal ......Deary me, why do we insist on signing players where we are keeping our fingers crossed? ......I maybe wrong, but do any of you really think Matty Marsh will develop into a half-back that could possibly lead us to winning silverware? .......Anybody?

| If Wakey win today you're going to be 7 points off the top 8 with just 5 games left to the split. Even if Campese was fit again within a couple of weeks wouldn't it make sense to keep him back until the middle 8's start, giving him a better chance of lasting to the end of the campaign. This would IMO give you a better chance of retaining Super League status.

7 points behind Wakey, yes. 5 points off the top 8. (I don't believe we will make the 8 btw)

| We wrapped him in Cotten wool for the cats game. He lasted a game then went pop again. When he's fit play him.
