| Quote: barham red "First of all congratulations to Leeds, fantastic team, head and shoulders above anyone in this league and fully deserve to win the treble.
We were no where near good enough, even if we'd played better we'd have lost, Leeds in that mood are a force.
Finally, congratulations to Hull fc, best result they've had this year and finally a Wembley win for there record books!!! Seriously tho, they have finally confirmed their small club status, mocking a club playing in a major final, getting repetitive strain injury of the wrist over a game involving a club that apparently never registered on their radar.. oh how the average have fallen. Maybe Adam could use this great result to sell some passes, just think if you'd managed to get to this final you could have afforded to pay Mr Allam to let you use a couple of stands...'"
I think this is a massive unwarranted hissy fit. did you honestly expect no banter after that defeat?
I have not actually said anything, but I know a lot of Rovers fans who were in my face after 2013.

Sorry if i hurt your feelings, maybe it was a bad time to post but listening to some FC fans it was becoming embarrassing in its own right.
Yes you've had a rubbish season, but you had your cup final win and aftrr match end of season party at craven park. Yes crowds have dropped and the money has run dry but seriously anyone would have thought you'd won the thing.
As we've been told for years getting to a final is a big achievement. The massive financial boost is great for the club and we'll be back bigger and stronger for this next year.

| I can't remember Rovers fans going out of their way to hang flags over the A63 in 2013. Maybe this is more of an indication of how low FC have become. The highlight of their season is other teams results. This during their 150 year celebrations.

| I saw my first game in 1962 and I’ve waited over the weekend to gather my thoughts before posting. I never expected us to win but this was the most spineless, gutless performance that I have ever witnessed. Do the players comprehend the amount of ridicule that they have inflicted on the club? Do they even care? They played without pride; passion; effort; determination; grit; energy and will to win. Not one player put a shift in. I don’t buy into the “we froze on the day” excuse. Castleford didn’t freeze last year; Hull FC didn’t freeze against Wigan. These are professional well paid players and I expect and demand 100% from every player 100% of the time. We had experience on the pitch in McCarthy; Welham; Lunt; Tilse etc. I expect one of the “experienced” players to say “I’m not having this”. To lead from the front; put fire into the bellies of the other players; hit harder in the tackle; fight to stay on my feet when tackled to attempt an offload; support the player with the ball not stand with my head down with my hands on my hips feeling sorry for myself. To me Chester is not the man to take the club forward and I wouldn’t blame Peacock for saying thanks; but no thanks. I’m off somewhere else. My first call would be to Justin Morgan. Please come and get us out of this mess otherwise next season will be yet another struggle to get into top eight!

If you are on twitter you will understand why it was done and not surprising it was a Rovers fan who bought a flag. And took it to the KC, that backfired for him. It's only a bit of fun.

Nope I was decorating
Take more than a few of them to stop me, we were accused of being a small club for focusing on them, we've had the financial gain line thrown at us when they've lost , tables seem to have turned.

Yeah. And we've been told for years that getting to a final is pointless if you don't win it.
Still wondering why the banter?

A Rovers fan thought it would be great banter to put a banner up at the KC before he left for Wembley. Hence all the banners from FC fans after the result.
Banter backfire, nothing more. Admittedly on an epic scale.

So lets get this straight. It is perfectly acceptable for some one to drape flags over the FC shop in Saville Street and also outside our home stadium pre game. But, it is not acceptable to any form of retaliation???
Ok then.

| The whole flag thing has definitely caused a bit of a talking point, but was factually correct. We were at Wembley, and FC were at home. I hate to use the word Banter, but that's what it was and it got folk in Hull and the media in general talking about it. So it did what I suppose it was designed to do. The fact Rovers then went and cocked it up then gave the FC fans the perfect opportunity to strike back and they have, and if the boot had been on the other foot then exactly the same would have happened I've no doubt.

Exactly right.
My take is the same as it was for us in 2013, forget the final and just remember the great day of the semi final. Take a positive.
Got to say I feel the city hall thing today is a complete joke though, should only ever have been agreed to if you had have won.

I'm afraid they did. Despite my obvious disappointment I thought it was quite amusing that your fans went out in the p*ssing rain to hang "you'll never win at Wembley flags" just accept it as banter. What goes around comes around.

Take a little longer, I saw plenty of effort from your guys. Kelly was stand out and Dixon, even though he was having a mare, never stopped trying. The try saving tackle on Hall by Sio? was awsome, not many stop Hall from there 1 on 1.

Not a chance, won't back away from a tough situation. Great addition to your coaching squad.
I know Saturday was a tough day for you guys, but give it some time. You had a brilliant run to the final taking some big scalps along the way, that didn't make you a brilliant team any more than losing to an on fire Leeds team makes you a crap one. You are a work in progress as are all other teams. See you next year at HQ

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?: |

Peacock isn't joining the coaching staff.
