Suppose you could look at it like that
and i suppose we could always go round tapping up the best young players of the skint clubs I,e Bradford Wakefield and Castleford like you lot do on a regular basis so i wouldn't sit on your high horse because your actual academy products ain't much better pal |

Listening to Chris Chester on sport talk it sounded like they will give him until Friday before making a definite decision but Matty Marsh is waiting in the wings should he fail.
Personally I would not risk him if he wasn't 100% fit, we need him for the all important semi, plus Matty Marsh wont let us down.
Whilst on the topic of Kelly's injury. I still cannot understand why Chester did not bring him off at half time against Salford when he was obviously carrying the knee injury.

If you finish 9th I would expect you to breeze through the middle eights and be back in Superleague for the new season. The semi-final really should be Chester's priority now and to have a chance he needs to give Kelly as much time as possible to recover.

It turned out to be this guy, and in the end he didn't get a start at the rebels and stuffed up his career at the Storm, where he was a very highly rated junior.
Since then he has played League and Union for about 4 different clubs and never had much success.
He was a fantastic junior up to under 20s level, but apart from that one game of reserve grade where I was told he was going to Union, I can't remember seeing him play.
His manager seemed to think he would be the next Cronk or Widdop, and would be a huge signing for Union, but that didn't happen.'"
Just to fill you in then. He played the whole season at Wests Tigers in 2012 and Manly in 2013 in NSW Cup before going to Union in 2014.
He was playing Union before he joined the Bulldogs in about Round 5 of this season. They were in last place. They are now in 5th. |
