| Has anything changed since this thread has started? IMO yes welham and boudebza have both earned at least 2 year extensions. Horne probably in his absence alone earned another 2 years. I'm a massive fan of larroyer but he really isn't firing for me whether it's a role change or just lack of form he needs to step it up. I think BC has proven why we should with an heavy heart release him like said previous he's not the answer at fb and we have better wingers. I like salter but will he ever be anything more than decent back up? Surely Hallet will do that next year. God knows on Lunt does he want to be here next year? Is he ever gonna be fit? And well esselmont situation hasn't changed. Find it strange that bar campo we have had no internal deals done.

| While larroyer has not had quite the same go forward as last season his tackle count is always very high, six more tackles yesterday than french john and our top tackler yesterday.I believe the best of kevin is still to come,at least a 2 year deal imo.

| I wouldn't be offering Larroyer a new contract, think he has been garbage this season and not actually performed well for a long time. Certainly going backwards and not forwards at outr club, time for him to go for me!

People were saying the same type of things about Welham last season and the beginning of this one but look at him now.

| Personally still offer him a contract but think there's something missing at moment tho even on a bad day he's solid in defence.

Disagree with you RP and also Oafy on your assessment of Kevin Larroyer. At the game yesterday I mentioned to those around me that his go forward technique this year from first receiver has changed and they agreed. He seems to stop before contact and spin to make the extra metres in reverse and as a result he gets halted. When he takes a pass on at pace at second receiver he is much more effective at metre making, like Brett Ferres.
However, his defence was superb and he read and shut down many Brown and Mellor short pass plays. Having watched the game back in full today on Hull KR TV also, he put in a massive effort alongside of Maurice Blair in defence. His defensive weakness is goal line where he is guilty of over chasing and can get side stepped.
Brett Ferres or Ben Westwood he ain't, but definitely worth a contract extension. Another 2 years please.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| With you on that, Lorroyer reads the game really well in an area where I think our defence has been horrible at times.
That second row slot of defending is where you really need people who make the correct decisions, Lorroyer does that. I'm a little disappointed with his go forward but he's a definite keep for me.
Campese is going to be a big miss for us in that Blair organises his side of defence masterfully, as much as we'll miss Campese (I can't call him Campo, it has too many connotations of his uncle who can't stand) we'll miss Blair organising our three quartets.
Salter had a great game in defence yesterday, that should'nt be over looked.

| I lost count on Sunday how many times he went high on a tackle and got bounced off or rolled off far to easy as Widnes 2nd try showed he flew in with a shoulder charge and ended up flying backwards left a huge hole in defence for player to off loads to brown and he went through the hole were larroyer should of been, Widnes 3rd try Horne jammed into make a tackle so larroyer should of covered him but misread and shot the line leaving alby exposed. And Castlefords 3rd try last week was another poor read from him he has had to many poor games when was the last time you came away from a game thinking larroyer had a real go today and had a good game?

Yeah welham played really well i think having JM outside of him really helps JM is 1 of the best wing defenders i have seen at the club
I thought welham Josh Salter Horne n boudebza played really well and probably why we got the result we have had to many players not playing at their best at once i know injuries have disrupted the team though so hopefully a few more back this week and get the confidence back up to how it was early doors in the season
