| To be fair Peter Fox was brilliant in his first year or 2 with us, dream team and a england call up. It was the last year when he completely imploded and never got it back. Shame really but god was the guy thick.

| I've been fortunate to see some good wingers at Rovers over the years including the above mentioned but one winger i remember who wasn't particularly brilliant but still entertaining was called Wally youngman who played on the left wing if i remember correctly.
He had a strange way of carrying the ball when running, he used to run with an almost an outstretched ball in one hand when running out of defence or attacking the line and would have been a modern day coaches nightmare, he'd be forever having the ball stripped in today's modern game.
I don't ever remember seeing him go the length of the field for a try but he was none the less a very good finisher 30/40 yards out and scored a good number of trys for the club as i remember.
If i also remember correctly he was a full time police officer during the day.

Remember Wally, missed a tackle on D Smith for Leeds in Yorkshire Cup Final at Fartown right in front of where I was stood which we lost 8-7, the Kevin Dick era. Don't think he played for us again!

| Got Wally Youngmans Carlisle shirt at Roy Holdstocks testimonial many years ago. As Mick Morgan gave me it he said"take care of it as they wont be around much longer"He was right. Still have it up in the loft.

| While not regarded as a out and out winger I thought Daniel Fitzhenry did a good solid job for us

Wally used to run like pigeon. Really strange to watch

| Favourite winger of the 00's - Byron Ford
Favourite winger of the 90's - Richard Smith
Re comment about David Plange (looking great against admittedly poor opposition), I was a big fan of his back then too, as well as others like Paul Eastwood and Gary Brown.
I also thought Jon Adams was excellent for the time. Not lightning pace, but knew when to come back inside. Drives me insane to see a winger get nailed into touch on the second tackle when he just had to cut back in.

| Peter Fox was the very definition of a confidence player! ......I suppose what happened between Peter, his "better half" and Morgan effected his performance on the pitch ......Allegedly!
