30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Think my rubbish tablet has knacked your quote, apologies.
Pretty cock on Squire, rather narcaccistic though.
Always had you down as one of those Hipster chaps, cool flat cap, messenger bag, beard, riding a fixy, Larkin to hand.
Disappointing.

| I think Kelly and Blair will work in the halves because Kelly is the type of playmaker who loves to do it all himself, and Blair will basically play like a spare lock forward who will do plenty of quality defence, plenty of hard runs and link with the backs well, but won't take much of the kicking or organising away from Kelly.
The problem will be if Kelly gets injured, because Blair doesn't have it in him to take control.
Blair is actually a pretty similar player to Travis Burns - minus the touch of psycho that Burns brings to the table.
I think people have the wrong idea about Kelly. They think he is a mercurial player who does things off the cuff and is unpredictable. I watched him pretty closely for the half a season he played in reserves for Newcastle, and he has a great kicking game and he always has a plan when he kicks. His kicking game is the equal of Dobson's. He adds to that with the ability to run through a gap and do quality broken field running - which is probably why people think he is an off-the-cuff type player, but running the ball is just an extra he brings to the game - his real skill is kicking and organising.

Simples. They were all poor defensively and had too many brainfarts

Must admit that was the impression I had about Kelly, from the little bits I read and the YouTube clips. If he's a more rounded half, all the better.

| All we are waiting on now to fill the 2015 roster are Shaun Lunt, Gil Dudson, Greg Burke, John Boudebza, A N Other (half back), and u19 upgrades (hopefully, Tom Sullivan, Alex Gibley and Jack Stewart amongst others).
Looking at the squad for 2015, including the players above) the starting line-up is shaping up nicely also, Salter and Welham.
Overall it looks a well balanced squad, full of potential and perhaps more importantly speed and high tempo. Fingers crossed it comes to fruition.

Sio is mainly a winger or fullback, I think. It'll be interesting to see how we start the season at 1,2 and 5 - there's a few options.

| A lot of people seem to be putting Sio in the centres and as above I'm not sure he Is a centre I think we will see either him or Dixon at full back with Charlie covering. If the Myler rumour is to be believed then I think we will see Blair at centre.

| Read the articles. Blair andKelly are "coming because they have the chance to play in the halves together" (Neil Henry) Blair won't play centre, at least at the start of the season anyway

That left centre spot is open to a number of opposing opinions. Mine was to give the shirt to Kenny Sio, who I thought was a centre but Mild Rover and MagicCarlos say he is predominantly a winger, and having researched it I have drawn the same conclusion.
I too have read Blair will be partnering Kelly but his stellar performances with Melbourne at left centre give him that utility factor.
It will probably boil down to who the mystery third half back is - if it is Campese than I think it is a no-brainer to play Blair at centre; if its Myler then its a different story.
Of course we cannot discount Kris Welham, who has made left centre his own since 2007, and irrespective of what people say about his defence his try ratio is very respectable. I hope he can improve his game and come back and prove his doubters wrong.

| I cannot answer the question of why Gold Coast let Albert Kelly go. I pray that Albert Kelly's legs are OK. His match fitness is the key to Hull KR's future. To put it starkly, his match fitness will determine whether Hull KR comes in the range 5-8 place, or 9-12 place.

| Kris Welham has made left centre his own? He's been less than average since his injury.
