Carney signed a 3year deal with the cats and worse chris sandow has won the players player of the year at parramatta ahead of jarryd hayne,who was voted australias best player,so they wont be letting him go.Out of favour and they wanted shut at the start of the season,talk about zero to hero.

If dureau can refind his form he'd be a better signing than carney IMO. Maybe the award for sandow was a parting shot from his team mates. I've heard some strong rumours that you've signed him with his aussie club picking up more of his salary than rovers

Dureau is in great form now that he is back under Trent Robinson.
Penrith have been the standout side in reserve grade this year, and people described Newtown's 31-30 win over Penrith as Newtown's best game in 30 years. Dureau was amazing.
The problem with Dureau is that he has never had good form under any coach except Trent Robinson. It's clear the current Catalans coach isn't a fan, and Brian Smith nearly destroyed Dureau by trying to coach him in a conventional way.
Only Robinson at the Knights reserve grade, Catalans and now Newtown has worked out that you just let Scott play what he sees and it all works out. Trying to give him structures and set plays is not going to work.
