Quite an interesting case study between the mind set of the two sets of fans, we are on the whole a reasonably pessimistic bunch with a big dollopof paranoia. All calls go against us, the rfl hate us and we are the name of rugby league.

You lot on the other hand a bipolar bunch, start off every season as this is it, we're brilliant, lose a couple and the world has ended, a blip win and the best team in the world followed by the big loss and depression sets in. Now this you would think would knock most down but your a resilient bunch and May is like New Day, look at how good we'll be next year when we sign the worlds best. This cycle then starts again in February and goes on infinitely, In some ways your fan base shares a lot of characteristics with Dory from Finding Nemo.

I agree with you in general here! The interesting thing here, is I am one of the glass half empty brigade and predicted 9th at the beginning of the season, to hoots of derision. I think Jake is in the same sort of camp as I, and to be honest, thins just brings a little respite from the doom and gloom

Actually, I think on the whole all rugby fans in the city are pretty much the same. Optimistic pre season, believe that the coach/team is great after 3 or 4 wins, all players and the coach are useless after 3 or 4 losses. There has been a mind set change since your whining aussie coach came on the scene with his excuse ridden culture though

Many could clearly see this long before Sandercock appeared on the scene. It's up to you if the believe that or not.

My whinings have mostly been directed to the coach, and the occasional crap or out of form player. The rfl disciplinary process is for all to see in it's current format. There has been whinings on both sides of the city about crap calls and the air of favouritism from the refs and the RFL, so it's not just coming from us.
And as for your last comment, yes we have been mostly crap this year, only your shower have been crapper!

Only beating four other teams other than you is currently keeping us well out of the relegation places. I'll take that ta very much.

Do we get less points for a win against Hull? Maybe we should given the relative ease the fixture presents these days.
