(answers on a postage stamp)'"
It was a Rovers fan who took it off topic.
As you asked so nicely, Ellis has been excellent this year, his performances have been top notch, great defence (like last year) and offering much more in attack. Even last season he wasn't as bad as people made out and without him we wouldn't have got wembley IMO as he was immense in the QF and SF.
if we had 17 players, playing as well as Ellis we would be in the top 4.

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?: |

OK but has he 'hit the heights' that were promised as the marquee signing /great white hope that he was heralded as? or does he stand out because the rest of the team/squad are performing so badly?

Ellis has been a very good player in the past and I was slightly envious when Hull first signed him.
However, from what I've seen of him playing for Hull Fc he hasn't really lived up to expectations and is not getting any younger.
I'm obviously not privy to what his earning are but he will no doubt will be on a fair wedge, my question would be.....in your honest opinion, do you think you have had value for money out of him to date.?

No arguing from me, lots of the players letting the club down.
Back on topic, should Rovers try and sign Dobson and use either Burns at LF or Keating at hooker?

Last season probably not, but that was down to injuries, although as I've said without him we wouldn't have got to wembley which will have made the club lots of money.
This season certainly, him not playing for England and having an off season has helped massively, not missed a game through injury. People don't notice him as he isn't an explosive player like Hock or Manu, but he is so important to the team.

I'd have Dobbo back tomorrow but leave Travis at s/o and release Keating .

| I wouldn't be surprised to see him at Salford as a replacement for Smith, they were sniffing round last year when he asked to go back to Aus.

If they do, it's a mistake, they should looking at developing Sneyd. If they sign another Salford have a very exciting back line next season of.
Locke
BJB
Sau
New
Johnson
Chase
Sneyd

I would definitely leave Travis at S/O as he continues to impress with time, but I'm unsure as to whether I would welcome Dobbo back even though I'm not over impressed with Keating to date.
I also wonder how Salford would fit him under the cap as he would still demand a fairly large wage along with all the other high profile names already playing or linked with the club.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| Because Ellis consistently turns in good performances?
I remember watching him play for England at the back end of 2012 at CP, he had a great game and freak injury against Leeds at the begging of last season I can't understand why anyone would regard him as a poor signing. He'd certainly walk straight into Rovers first team.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if Scott Taylor ends up at Hull, it'll be disappointing and I don't think it'll be a good move for him.
Wire seem pretty confident that Dobson is going to them, maybe as soon as in the next few weeks.

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |
|
| Salford won't be worrying about been under the cap as the chairman has said he's going over and he doesn't care basically as for Dobson coming back we've moved on he was great for us but never go back it rarely works out

HOW on earth do you get NILLED at Wembley ?
When your coach isn't a winner at heart and Gentle is not a winner at heart .
We were a pub team
I coached for a long time and we won 95% of games because winning is a mental state driven by a desire to CRUSH an opposition. Did FC look as though they wanted to Crush Wigan and strangle them until they screamed ? NO
RL is a tough tough game and Maylord She-dong you have no clue
In fact don't ever ever reply to any of my posts again:37721.jpg |

| Dobson is the best 7 we have had in years, I would hate to see him lining up against us. Really hoped he would make it in aus.
