In many ways he was lucky not to end up in the bin (at the very least) given the circumstances of the challenge. By no means a certainty but Hull looked likely to score until the high shot. Think it was Crooks' reaction that possibly helped him avoid any punishment at the time too. I don't think it was the worst high shot but it wasn't too clever either.
Also think the next time we have Ganson and we end up on a team warning - we remove Horne from the field for 10 mins. Twice now he's been put in the bin by Ganson for a 'high shot' being the one more and you're in the bin theory.'"
Both of which were never high anyway, he was just unlucky.

Didn't look that bad to me, thought he struck Crooks around the collar bone, penalty & talking to seemed sufficient. Tbf I have only seen one angle though, not sure if replays make it look worse.
Not understanding the disclipinary here. Burns has been summoned for a grade B but Ryan Bailey has the option of an early plea for a grade C?

Dont think it matters on the offence grading (Grades A - C only though, the EGP is only allowed if you have not been up before the panel within the last 12 months

I suggest you watch it again.
Initial impact is with the temple (and Crooks is a TALL lad) and ends up around his neck.

So, depending on which club you support it is either:
a) nothing in it, penalty sufficient
b) worst tackle ever, sine die

Well lets see what the disciplinary lot say. If he cops a ban then we're right. If not, then you are. Can't say fairer than that.

As I stated I've only seen one angle (the high camera on halfway). This is the only angle on Rovers tv, SL highlights don't show the tackle & SL show isn't on iplayer yet. Pretty inconclusive based on that, need more of a front on view.
Travis' arm is swinging horizontal / upwards & Crooks is falling so how does the contact start at the temple & end round the neck?

| Wasn't the worst tackle but looked pretty malicious the way he swung his arm around and hit crooks in the head. Certainly was never an attempt at a legitimate tackle and he knew what he was doing. He has previous for it so no surprise it's coming out here already. Still, I'm guessing he's probably wishing ganson did send him off

I have not seen one FC fan claim it to be the worst tackle EVER despite what some of you claim.
However, it was bad and should have been punished properly by Ganson.

Fair enough.
Best/worst camera is sky's in SE corner.
Shows how bad it is. And Crooks was NOT falling.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.
Frederick Douglas:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_30596.jpg |

| Haven't watched it since, at the time on SKY I thought he was lucky not to get sent off and was a minimum yellow.
I felt he got neither at the time because Ganson was too fat to keep up and get a decent view of the incident.
Two games is what's deserved. I'm not sure you can do that maliciously at that speed, if he can he'll spend most of his time in the stands, it was certainly a bad one but not the worst I've seen. Worst one in recent memory for me was Mathers on King a few years ago.
