Can't be bothered to get mine out and make sure but I could've sworn it didn't say Northern Rail Cup.'"
God yeah that was an embarrassing blunder by either the club and / or Carlotti eh. Though IIRC they did have '2005 Northern Rail Cup Winners' on the ones released after the final.
The 1990 Riding Bitter away shirt (white with blue band) that someone was selling on eBay went for approx £50.

| Yeah, to be fair, I don't like any of them, the only one I've ever liked was my nineteen eighty six Challenge Cup Final shirt, and even that wasn't perfect, I wanted number thirteen, for my all time favourite Rovers player but they'd run out, so I had to get a seven for my second favourite player of the time.
Club shop's always been a bit rubbish.
You fixed up with work chief?

| I don't like any of the old shirts.
To contradict that statement, I like the replicas of old ones that people buy and use it to back up their claims that they have been supporting Rovers since the 1980's and have always stood in that same place. I started going in 1994 and one thing I know for sure is that the people who line the front two rows didn't stand there in '94. They're also claiming that in 30 years, their shirt they bought still fits them 32 years on. Amazing. Easty is one of them.

Ah right, fair dues mate. There aren't many Rovers shirts I can think of that I've disliked, the ones I have have all been recent
Yeah I agree about the shop, I've said it before but for some reason I found the one opposite East Park better than the current one even though this one is twice as big. Better customer service back then for a start.
Yeah am doing okay for work thanks mate, work across three different council teams, so combined I get full-time hours in every week.

While I wasnt keen on the 09 away shirt personally, in defence of it it was clearly a massive, massive seller for the club, to the point where I would guess that it may still be our greatest ever selling away shirt, so they clearly struck gold with the 'unusual' colour combo and design.
Thinking back to our Avec days, one shirt they did which was a brilliant idea in theory but didn't really work in practice was the 2000 home shirt (100% cotton, plain white with red band). This looked great as a traditional Rovers shirt, but in practice I think people had problems with them fading quickly (I didn't buy it, but remember the big 'ROVERS' red lettering on the back seemed to fade quickly on other peoples.
A cotton old-style shirt is still something I think the club should do (Hull do it from time-to-time to a seemingly positive reception and sales) but as its a good idea I'm sure they won't do it.

I've got that cotton shirt.
It went yellow and was like wearing a sponge when it rained.
The badge on it was different to any other shirt as well, just an outline rather than a solid red badge.
