Were you fishing?'"
Fishing with what? Simply implying that on that list there is/was a high percentage of what you can call local players.
You then waltz in with a sarcastic comment about our youth producing two players. No prompting from anyone, just clearly looking a bite.
Congrats, you got one.

I can't remember, nor do I want to what a "Derek" is, but roopy is clearly a good guy, if you can't see that you need to have a word.

He does over love everything Newcastle a bit though, apart from Clint.'"
I can't be bothered to research the Newton angle, I assume he left under a cloud. Actually, I don't care. Newcastle sounds nice, at least The Hunter Valley does and Australia is probably my least wanted to go to destination on earth.

Last week on 5 Live the male presenters were asked to 'fess up to their own man crush. George Riley picked Kevin Sinfield.

I'm feeling the love for Roopy.
Not having a dig by the way, I know what you mean, he's just, just so likeable. We love you Roopy, we do. We love you Roopy, we do.......

He did. He's just annoyed because he spent all day surfing the net & not doing any work.

I was just giving Sheldon a way of letting out his frustration at being 'Second best' for Aussie info, It must be hard to be our #1 for as long as I've been around only for a new guy to come in and be loved within days. He's handled it much better than Sam Tomkins would have.

It's ok I'm up in Newcastle this weekend, I'll nick his computer.

| Oh come, anyone who wouldn't love to have a player with the name Sinbad playing in their team, whatever their sexual orientation, would be a sad, soul less individual at best.
Even to the point where I think we should have a thread every close season speculating whether or not Sinbad was signing for us, it could replace the annual Fuifui Moimoi one which seems to have fizzled out in recent years.

| I was one of Scott Murrells biggest fans a few seasons ago but I can't see him making anywhere near the number of appearances of the last few seasons, we have better, younger, quicker options now, not saying he still can't make a contribution when injuries permit but it's time to move on, the same goes for Jason Netherton, again a fantastic contribution over the years but we need to give younger players with potential a go and I'm fairly sure Sandercock will see it that way too.

| I have a lot of time for both players, but must admit I sometimes wonder if it's because they've been at the club during our rise from NL1, and so I have a rose tinted view of them.
It will be interesting in both their cases to see what a totally new coach viewing the squad objectively makes of them.

| My probables for the first SL game of 2012:
McDonnell
Hall, Webster, Welham, D Hodgson
Green, Dobson
O’Hara, Withers, Wheeldon
Cox, Galea (C)
Watts
Bench: Paea, Mika, J Hodgson, Taylor
I haven't included Clinton because I don't believe he will be staying at Rovers.
Lovegrove is unlucky to miss out but would be my 18th and Horne 19th.
