Agreed. However JM didn't need to leave him on the right for the best part of 2 years, it was obvious during 2010 that he wasn't the same player.

The move has (IMO) contributed to his loss of form and has probably curtailed his international career, so he would have been better served stayting on the left and taking his chances with the national coach.'"
but surely his coach should see the move hasnt done any one any good and would maybe move him back to the other wing, its not as if Colbon has been outstanding since the swap is it?

I know where my money would lie on this subject and i don't think it would be motivated by money.'"
Of course the decision is likely to be motivated by money (as well as form). There's no point having a player earning an Intl wage on your books, when he's suddenly become awful this season and then is likely to become a bit part player next year. If he was on a smaller wage, I bet we would like to keep him to be as cover. As it is, it just makes sense to try and offload him if he's earning too much to be just a squad player. Trouble is I doubt we'll get our way.
I can't see why Fox would want to move. He won't get the same deal at another club right now, so he may as well stay and try and get himself back into form next year. If that happened he's likely to have a few suitors who will want him.

Was still selected for the England elite squad at the beginning of this year on his form from last season. Did okay there when he got his chance for England in 2009 as well. While the left-right thing and his bulking up have no doubt been issues, mostly it has been a form-confidence downward spiral IMO.
Unless the club are confident there'll be interest, I don't see any point in this - it's hardly going to give him a lift if he does stay. I can see arguments for retaining Colbon ahead of Fox, but they aren't so strong that I'd risk tying myself in knots when one is contracted and the other isn't. I can easily imagine Fox recapturing some form in 2012 - and if he doesn't, then we've got an easy and straight forward option.

| Hull KR have promoted under 20's Academy winger Nick Johnson to the first team squad by awarding him a one-year contract for the 2012 season.

i certainly wouldn't claim to have all the answers, just my own opinions and my opinion on this is that BOTH Foxy's wages and form would contribute to the decision.
I don't deny i didn't mention his form in my original post but obviously agree that this would contribute to the alleged decision rovers have made.
i just think showing him the door for either of these reasons is wrong as i believe he is a quality winger who can turn his form around if given the chance

| Fox has been no worse than Clinton, we should let him talk to other clubs aswell and get a prop forward in who wants to be here. See how fox goes till the end of the season he might find his feet again.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

TBF, although Fox has been a bit rubbish, at least he looks like he gives a shizzle, unlike Clinton.
Given a proper off season I'd have every confidence that Fox can get back to somewhere near his best which would mean fifteen to twenty tries a season. Unless we've got other irons in the fire that are going to add more balance, for example, some big barn storming props than this seems a very strange decision.

| To be fair to fox in te last home game against Salford, Welham threw him an aweful pass out (head high and slighty behind him) which he didnt collect at full pelt and welham had a right go! Pity fox's teammates didnt give him some support there and tell welham where to go for a shocking pass.

You mean when half the team ran from the other end of the field to reassure him?

The pass from Welham in the second half that went over and behind Foxy's head, if it's the same one, resulted in 5 or 6 players running over and patting him. I enjoyed it because it seemed we'd got our 'team spirit' back.
