Oi, I'm the only one discussing Shaun himself on here.  Phelps is a good player IMO, not spectacular, but handy. Bit injury-prone unfortunately but would be a decent replacement assuming Slater's not coming.

Yes we do. If Clinton goes, we'd have 1 quota and 3 non-fed spots free.
Somebody like Lauaki, but ideally a bit better, would be a decent way to use a non-fed. A quality hooker, maybe, would be the best use of a quota spot.
Depends on what we're spending. If we're cutting costs, Phelps would be alright. A filled quota and non-fed place better than Halley - probably not. |

Yet he said only two weeks ago it will be built alongside the north stand. To say the demand to build the East extension isn't there is laughable. It's packed to capacity most games.
As for Briscoe a great servant to Rovers and a damn shame it's come out like it has. Rovers need to be ashamed ALA Paul Fletcher  |

Jon Clarke turns 33 early next season, so I wouldn't want him on anything other than maybe a 1 year deal - could he be bothered to relocate/commute for that? Widnes would be more attractive even on a lower wage.
Ellis would be better - younger than Fisher, and for all that Fisher doesn't count on any flavour of quota, it moves away from the Hull Kingston Aussies tag. Not sure he is better though. Tbf, I'm also not certain we could get better even using the quota spot though, as I know squat about the NRL. |

Not yet but it looks like he'll stay, he's got a indigenous role in the local community talked about.
Don't get me wrong if a sl club could pull it off it would be a great coup, easily the best overseas signing for sl this year. |
