| Quote: General Zod. "Considering you have the ultimate RL fans "database" then I'm sure you'll be able to see I have posted recently - just not in great numbers due to the fact I'm a busy lad these days.
Anyway, regarding the 4th place prediction, I didn't foresee the Mason debacle which has been a massive distraction regardless of what anyone says and I still think we can finish 6th - 8th which will would probably as accurate as most fans predictions.'"
Well, I've done some regression analysis and there is a a perfect correlation between Rovers under-delivery and your absence from these boards. Coincidence? I think not, my vertically challenged chumster.
You said Rovers would finish 4th "without doubt". Perhaps you need to temper your language a little. I'm assuming if Rovers do finish 6th it will be at the expense of Saints whom you again ruthlessly wrote off at the start of the year as the height of average. Who are you hoping for in the CC semi finals, then?

| Quote: General Zod. "Fair question, but the key element you're not taking into account is intensity. The higher intensity then the lower scoring the game in most cases.
Yes, the first game of the season Rovers scored tries against FC like shelling peas but the game wasn't high intensity as such like today. Likewise due to Bentham's disgraceful "refereeing" on Good Friday which resulted in us being on the end of a ridiculous 5-1 penalty count by half time so a stop/start affair in which we didn't see much of the ball meant for a game with less intensity.
Today we had only one penalty in the first half and more trading of sets even though Rovers made more errors. And the reason FC looked clueless in attack was due to Rovers defensive intensity - similar to the play-off game last season when FC's only points came from a Briscoe try (which wasn't actually a try because he was in touch).
I suppose what I'm saying is that Rovers can simply defend to level of intensity that FC can simply not do anything about - even when you are at full-strength with the exception of Phelps and part of this is down to the fact that FC's players are no where near as good as most of FC's fans think they are which is why FC won't finish in the play-offs this year.
Rovers scoring only three tries isn't exactly worth bragging about but when you consider we had Fox, Webster, Clinton and Watts all on the sidelines, not to mention the salary cap space used for Mason, then it's fair and reasonable to say that a full-strength Rovers side against a full-strength Rovers side with an equal penalty count would probably result in a 20+ points difference in the favour of Rovers every time.
Rovers defended really well today and I really feel that Morgan's squad rotation policy this season is just starting to bear fruit because the players look in nick.'"
Ah a derby win and Zod comes out of the woodwork.
The hilarious thing about that post is that you actually believe it. All I can say is what complete and utter cack. Still carry on

| Quote: Mrs Barista "Amen to that. Sounded well deserved and spices up the battle for 8th. Woo-hoo!
Thank you and (it sounds like you were not there) don't believe the talk that it wasn't a good game etc and both teams were rubbish.
It was a great game in the balance until very late on and both teams played their part.
In my biased opinion Rovers deserved to win just as Hull deserved to win at the KC.
If I was picking out a Hull player for praise it would be Richard Horne. Circumstances were such that he often found himself the one to take a big hit as the last line of defence. He never flinched and it never put him off his game.
Brilliant piece of skill from Westerman for Hull's second try. Tom Briscoe...hmmmmm .....well we all have bad days.
Scott Wheeldon played like a man with a point to prove he was the MoM never mind what the sponsors said.
Hull played pretty good they were tough but Rovers didn't want to submit today. IMO Hull have just a few too many 'not bad' players in their overseas spots. That's all of them, apart from O'Mely & Fitzgibbon.
Sorry to say they have another 2 'not bad' overseas players signed up now for next year. That's 9 now till they get rid of someone, just the same as those overseas junkies Hull KR.
Recruitment is the problem at Hull FC not the coaching.

Oh yes sorry you are right and I am wrong; FC danced around us in last years play-off game posting points galore with their amazing attacking flair. Oh hang on...
This will be FC's 3rd season in 4 years outside of the play-offs. The simple is reason for that is that you're just not very good.

| Yep well done lads,a great team performance from 1-17.
Really enjoyed it,thought it was a good tough game and Rovers were worthy winners.
Thought we did a good job of keeping Manu,Briscoe,Yeaman and Gleeson quiet too.

Where was all your attacking flair at the KC, if we are so poor why did you have to come to our place in the playoffs?
Hull FC who are currently 8th, hmm wish we could be in Rovers position!
You need to get back to the other board where you don't get challenged with the crap you post

| Quote: Suzie "Genuine question?
Do you really believe that you played that well today? I've just listened to Morgan on the way home and he's saying he believes it's the best you've played all season. We all have opinions and look at games differently but I thought the game showed that both teams are poor and deserve to be were there are in the table. From an Hull point of view we were terrible, we had so much ball in that 1st half and was absolutely clueless in attack.'"
A true losers perspective....
Oh, and one of my mates (yes i've got more than 1 ) had £2 on yeamo to score 1st at 20-1, chocker he didn't put more on but he paid for his night, nice one yeamo..

| We are getting the typical FC response 'you were the best of two rubbish teams' and 'we were lousy thats why Rover won', yet when they win its how good they were, seems few of the FC fans can bring themselves to give credit to a winning Rovers side, which is sad really.
The game (while not ever likley to reach the skill levels of a Saints v Wigan derby) was a very good game of passionate rugby, with both sides giving 100%. I was pleased to see the response from Rovers, the passion and commitment they showed was evident in the celebrations for each gain (such as forced knock ons etc).
I though Wheeldon was superb yesterday, along with Cockayne, Green and Galea. For FC Horne was outstanding, he took some really big hits and never once had a moan about them (unlike the 'I can dish it but not take it Luaki').
If I had paid for a ticket at the KC to see the same game, but a reverse result, I would have been disappointed at the end result but happy that I had watched a good, close game of RL with all players giving 100%.

| It wasn't a classic but made up for it in the closeness and intesity. I thought FC's gameplan was to hold the ball and make no mistakes, which to be fair to them was working for much of the match. We coughed up too much ball, FC got field position and really didn't capitalise on it.
Once we got a foothold we looked more likely to score and when Long went off Hull looked like a set of headless chickens, completely disorganised and clueless in attack.
Great signs of the old comeradery coming back into our game, not seen that all year, hopefully we can gain a bit of momentum off this and push on to the end of the season.

| Good to see 6 local local lads in our team, as opposed to 3 in the FC team (surely not, arent we unable to function without a full team on non locals).

You can't go on our board much then, depsite having a good Easter including beating you many fans still though we where poor and looks like they were right.
I think both teams need quite a few changes to compete with the top 4.

Agree totally,
Our defence was great yesterday(as were both teams tbh)It was a good tough game.
A lot of Hulls errors were forced through our tackling.
We also kept Manu,Briscoe,Yeaman and Gleeson quiet too.
