HULL KINGSTON ROVERS is my religion, Craven Park is my church and Jordan Abdull is my God:

Quote: Digger_the_Dog "I'm guessing they drove or had to pay the train fare unlike Hull and Hull City who are still enjoying their free train tickets from Hull Trains for the prompt payment of upgrades and courtesy offered by the players and club officials

Good thing they've got the freebies really because doing a bunk from taxis get you a bad reputation. Especially when the driver is a hull fan and knew who they was. icon_lol.gif

I agree that a trick like that is crazy, especially when paying for the fare should of been no problem to even a lower end squad member on their salary.

However, that is an individual player/players. For an organisation not to treat a sponsor with respect and for a certain handbag swinging coward who seems to enjoy painting his nails and dying his hair to demand an upgrade to First Class because of 'who he is' is a bit different.

I was sat on the way to Wembley last year and remember Danny Tickle and Mark O'Meeley both being offered seats in First Class to give them some privacy with their partners. Both refused on the basis that they would prefer to sit in the standard coach they were given and don't mind chatting to supporters.

That is why companies are ringing Hull FC up to do sponsorship deals I imagine icon_wink.gif

What about the first 17, not the token junior players you put in the squad

must be right Philb she's not come back with proof otherwise, unless she's spending all her time figuring out a first 17 of both which will prove her right, which wouldn't surprise me.

Not at all. Ages of top 24 players (was 25 when I first did it but Ratu has gone and so took one out of FC's to balance it out - beyond this we seem to be going to teenagers) as at start of next season (using 1st March as when I did it, didn't know when in Feb the season would start, same for both sides, obviously).Point here is that Rovers fans claim to have some sort of youth-based moral highground and mock FC as a retirement home, yet which club has the greater number of players 28+? How many SL games by players aged 20 or lower? FC = 60, Rovers = 29.

you like your stats so an average age has little relevance to 24 or 25 players as its an average (come on mrs b thats a poor attempt), so out of interest who did you take out and what is the average with him in the squad, a squad is a squad and average is irrelevant of numbers whether its 17 or 40players an average is an average!!

I took out Rovelli, actually, as when I put this together he was the big rumour. icon_lol.gif

Look, you are missing the point. Rovers fans frequently mock the supposedly ancient FC squad as if Rovers squad are spring chickens. Your good friend pugwash pal is a good example, today referring to FC's team as the cast of cocoon. Once again, when some data is provided, the myth of Rovers squad being a virtual kindergarten is debunked. For every Fitzgibbon there's a Vella, for every Berrigan there's a Galea. Inconvenient perhaps, but that's just the way it is. Try here also if you're doing the 17 v 17 and trying to demonstrate that Rovers players are much younger than FC's:
viewtopic.php?f=34&t=477267

FC's signings for next season, of course have brought the average down, with Cusack and Calderwood out, and Westerman and Sharp in, but that's a good thing, surely? icon_lol.gif

Now that's sorted out, back on topic. I'm reading on the HDM website that Mason landed at Heathrow at 3.02pm today, which ties in with his interview in the Aussie press last week. You must be beyond giddy by now. icon_wink.gif

Anyone who has travelled to the other side of the world will of course realise that no flights from Australia land in the afternoon ; if coming via Singapoe - then two flights landing Heathrow in the morning and one from Auckland ...... and Heathrow is not closed as is posted on HDM site - Gatwick and Edinburgh are closed

All flights from the Antipodes land early morning as they are overnight flights .............

To make it up to 25 man squads, add the young lads Green and Sherriff to their respective sides and then get Scott Taylors age correct. Have my doubts some of the others are accurate aswell.

You are right about Taylor, he'll be 20 not 21. Feel free to correct the others you are implying are wrong. The issue is that posters such as Zod continually claim that Rovers have a far younger squad. Do you support this claim? icon_wink.gif

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle. Frederick Douglas:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_30596.jpg
